Praise Pizza express

Options
Having never been to pizza express I decided to treat myself with my tesco reward vouchers. Me and my mate went to Pizza express in Salford Quays both had a pizza and a drink each, came to £25.90 paid £20 in rewards and £5.90 in cash. The pizzas we had were excellent. We only waited ten minutes from when we ordered them, loads of toppings. The service we had was also excellent. Just wish i had kept the recipt so i could ring them up.

Nice to go out and have something to eat. Paying by vouchers was so easy and no fuss.

Pizza express have won me over even with out the vouchers i will go there.

  • I have to admit the first few times I went to Pizza Express I wasn't terribly impressed.

The time it took for them to serve the food was quite shambolic. But I've been a few times since then and the service has been great. I guess it depends on when and where you go.

Hiya! I know this hasn't much to do with the topic but I am going to order tesco rewards for the first time. I will use them for pizza express but I need the vouchers for tomorrow... Will they come as an email or will they be posted by mail?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!
Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one :))! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.

    What I achieved:
    Car paid in full straightaway.
    Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!

I have to agree with Janey partly anyway - The Tee side and Durham branches have appalling service from their staff and are very rude HOWEVER, The Metrocentre branch has really polite lovely staff and although its the same menu as the other branches, the food tasted so much better there as well!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

You can't have been that impressed as it sounds like you didn't tip :)

Luckily we have the minimum wage in this country, so waiting staff do not have to rely on tips - unless you also tip shop staff, checkout employees, etc ;-)

If you're in the South West, Bottelino's have spread and spread http://www.bottelinos.net/

They do a £4.95 lunchtime deal (any pizza or pasta - normal menu prices go upto £12.95 for a pizza). They obviously hope you'll want a drink or pudding, but if you want to go and get stuffed on excellent pizza for under a fiver, hard to beat!

Although thats true I do think if you receive good service in a restaurant or a pub then tipping is the right thing to do. I'm not one of these people who insists you tip all the time but it is the recognized way to reward good service. I don't believe you can compare the service waiting staff offer you with the 20 second relationship you have with shop staff and checkout employees. I once bought alot of wine from a shop and the assistant carried it out to my car. In that scenario I tipped the assistant a couple of quid as he provided good service.

That's a nice thing to do! You'll have made their day! Do you also tip hairdressers or delivery drivers? How about postmen at Christmas? How about bin collectors?

I just think we're rather arbitary about who we 'should' tip, and who we shouldn't. Why not tip a traffic warden? I'll bet you have a discussion with one who you meet ticketing your car, and hey, he's just doing his job much like a waitress.
  • most things taste nicer when paid for with vouchers ;)
