Virgin not available at new home

At the moment I am on a good deal with Virgin.
I hardly use the home phone (but need it to receive calls).
My wife uses the V+ box and it is a requirement. We also have (and will want) to view the tv in another room.
I have by Broadband through them, 10Mb I think?

The new place I am moving to is not covered by Virgin fibre optic, so they can't offer Virgin TV.

I'm guessing that I am having to look at Sky .... anyone have any tips/ ideas/ comments on what sort of deal I should be looking for (achievable)?

Many thanks. :money:

Bear in mind that if you are still in contract you will get hit with an ETC if you cancel VM when you move.
Why not just look at the Freeview/Freesat options with a relevant PVR and save yourself a packet?

Thanks - I don't think that there is the channel mix that my wife (and me) watch on Freeview.

I was going to say good but the second poster said they didnt like sky, never had a problem with sky, customer service has been good and the discounts they offer keep coming. If you are new to them watchout on the cash back websites for the £100 cash deals.

I will never give virgin a penny again after they couldnt fix our service for 4 weeks and promised a credit on the account, called them up to ask why and after much discussions, the guy went muffled and then him clearly talking to the person next to him and he said yeah got a right greed B. When I complained the manager said I must have been mistaken or that it could have been the someone else next to them. Never ever again :)

Yea tbh I find Sky's service better than Virgin's and there is more HD content. They have also announced Anytime Plus to try and compete with the Virgin catchup service which requires their broadband.
Their broadband (on LLU only!) is very good and only £7.50 a month. It depends on the quality of the line but I get an OK speed with them

Virgin was faster, but it is a lot more expensive and they have the STM policy.

Defo need Broadband - so was thinking if it worthwhile getting it all from one service provider - and it is only SKY that is available at the new house.

Why one provider? Bundling is not always the cheapest. Sky will almost certainly not be unless you have Sky LLU on your exchange-have you checked? Otherwise you will be on the dire Sky Connect service.
Suggest you do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com and look at all your LLU options-these will be the best phone/broadband deals for you.

Thanks for that - have checked and SKY LLU is on the exchange. (Not that I know what it means except it's not super slow).

Keep the suggestions coming .... :D

Local Loop Unbundled. What are your other LLU options from samknows? O2 possibly?
