On thinking about it considering its winter and I have been at home with kids all day plus livingroom and kitchen both have halogen lights rather than low energy bulbs then it could probably be alot worse.. I do thik i need to look at changing light fittings downstairs though. We have one in the livingroom and 2 in the kitchen of the following plus some down lighters set into kitchen units.
I will look at my energy monitor when I get home but I think thats a pretty good KW consumption.

Ours is between 14 and 16 per day and has been since last Autumn. I try my best.
We have spots in the bathroom and kitchen. I know the spots in the kitchen (8 of them) cost 3p per hour. My DH said you can get low energy spots but the bulbs are quite pricy. I've never really looked into it, but i think he has. I could try for more detail later if you like.0 -

Unfortuantely we have a house with spotlights in the kitchen, dining room, all the bedrooms, the two bathrooms and the study... in fact the only rooms without them are the hall, lounge and play room!

Just looked at mine on Imeasure , it was 11 last week and 14 a day the week before when they were off school , that's for 8 of us and there's always someone in the house so yours sounds about right.
I know ours sounds low but I think it's because I don't have a cooker , just a combination microwave and I do keep an eye on electricity.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Thank you for removing the photo.

Hi Ladies
You all sound very busy! I still need to address the Quidco business, along with alot of other things!
Have mowed the lawn for the first time last week as it hasnt rained for about a week here and the grass is nice and dry. Will be time for Weed and Feed soon, am awaiting instructions from my Mum, who is the lawn guru, as to when to do it. I would ideally love to re-turf the whole lot but I cant afford that! I've just weeded the whole garden, DH has finally built the chicken run (and going shopping for chooks next week!) and trimmed trees, a bush and just need to pave round the edges. Takes forever!
I'd love some garden furniture but I dont think thats going to happen this year either.......;)KimmyCustard :j0 -
busy busy.. snow is back.. blah.. Looking for another sofa and one we had decided on and paid deposit for cannot be sourced from supplier paperwor coming out my ears.. Plus I keep looing at houses.. bigger houses... naughty me.. whats with the spam on this board at the moment.. lots of it and its annoying me..
I am spending too much time online and DH back at work so its a straight check of digital banking and doing the nessesities each day then i'm concentrating on decluttering etc.. oh and we have and allotment so with lighter evenings hoping to spend more time there prepping and planting.. I will be assemlig our little grow house this week for sow our seeds and growig on until big enough to go in the ground.
Theory is allotment/garden is worth it because it saves money.. cut and come again salad leaves = £1 for seeds = 20/30+ bags of salad at £1.50 each. Been a freebie tart and scooped alot of free seeds from freebies board. Theory with decluttering is tidy house = tidy mind.. hopefully will get some clearer thoughts then.
Two weeks until payday, OH car insurance switched and we are still healthy money wise.. I still need to sort out the switching of accounts etc
I have no idea why i am using so many full stops either....MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
You have been busy ...
Salad is so expensive now - use to be cheap for a lettuce, now its nearly £1! Wish I could grow bananas it would save me a fortune!
and..stop it with the houses  - you've just moved! ( plus Im still waiting to sell so you can't move twice before me!)I can't be bothered updating this anymore0
