Don't let the pitbull fob you off - when I was in labour it was it'll be a while yet stay at home. I said to mum and OH we are going now (DD2 born in a corridoor at the hospital entrance) she was actually ok but was considered extremely high risk - OH fuming that they didn't see the immediate NEEDOPs so far £42,139

pitbull mw was on the other end. She was rude and obnoxious, MIL was here just checking me anyway, apparently I am community MW patient and should be seen by them not antenatal ward its impossible to get pre-eclampsia in a 3rd pregnancy and she doesn't give a dam what my consultant said or what my notes say antenatal is far far too busy to be dealing with me!!! My MIL was going absolutely nuts.
Oh and i've been having regular contractions since 3am called again and same MW told me to just wait for the community MW to get in at 8am and call them ' I once again repeat Triage is stowed out' without taking a name or DOB. I was extremely unprofessional and called my MIL in the actual delivery suite and had a cry and she said she would sort it and was once again going nuts. If you read of a MW killing another MW in scotland this morning then you know why.
In all honesty though i feel crap, worse than i was, I look a grey/yellow colour, every movment hurts. My hubby decided to still go to work due to the money issue and MIL says she is going home at 6am to sleep for 4 ish hours then will get up and come over here. I am a tough old cow who doesn't 'do' crying I just get on with things but at the moment I just want to curl into a ball somewhere totally alone and never wake up again. I've had it i'm afraid and of course both kids need my full and immediate attention at all times which TBH is not helping.
I may be quiet for a bit.. I think i need to just be aloneMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
hi hun just wanted to send u a big hug nd say keep telling them things dont feel right. you can get it in ur 3rd pregnancy, ive already been warned by MW nd consultant that i would be high risk after having it during my 1st pregnancy. apparantly very odd but u can suffer from it 1st time round nd if same partner 3rd time round. xx'£5000 by hook or by crook' challenge - £4168/£5000

Sounds like an absolute jobsworth. I think all the hospital midwifes can be a bit like that trying not to get you in until the last possible minute. With my DS2 i told them i was going in even though they said not to, and when i got there he was born within 30 minutes. 1st time mums have it worse as at least 2nd time or later you know what is going on.
Keep calling them hun. Make her day hard. And eventually she will have to go off shift and hopefully be replaced with someone more understanding.
Chin up. You will be feeling a million times better soon. xx0 -
Can community midwife not push for you to be seen? Our hospital antenatal clinic has a day unit, do you have something similar? I had reduced movements when overdue and went in for monitoring for couple of hours. I think it's disgusting they are fobbing you off.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

You poor thing LP!!
I have no idea re this childbirth thingy but I can imagine being continually fobbed off by some old bag on the end of the phone would get right on your wobblies. I agree with Cath (I think it was), make her day difficult if you need more help, thats what shes there for. Take her name as well, they usually become more helpful when they know they are likely to be traced! Shame things have to come to that tho.....
Looks like Saturday is the day then??! V v exciting, I'm off all this weekend and will be thinking of you huffing and pushing on Satwhilst I'm walking round B and Q.
Hope youre not feeling too rubbish and call in ALL favours from everyone now, you sound like you need it. xxKimmyCustard :j0 -
Saturday may very well be the day! i have to get bloods ctg for baby, blood pressure checks and a growth scan. If all ok then its home and repeat Monday. If all not ok then plan depends on whats not ok. If its me not ok but baby fine then i will be kept in and monitored more until baby not ok or I improve, I get life threateningly not ok or 37 ish weeks. If baby not ok its eviction time probably by ceaserian section.
At the moment my BP is higher than was but still ok, kidney function is deteriorating I am spilling blood white cells and protein into my wee plus 4 pluses of keytones despite eating more than well. I don't have a kidney or UTI so they think kidneys packing in apparently its not permenant but not good. Baby was ok on CTG yesterday, heart rate was a bit iffy at times but mostly ok.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000
