Item arrived damaged - what to do?

You won't get a full refund and return postage, you will have to send the whole thing back for about a tenner and then get a full refund of the original postage and item price, so will still be out of pocket a tenner.0

Whilst it does seem petty over £3, the seller has contravened Ebay rules, attempted to bully me until he realized I knew what I was doing, and been extremely unhelpful. For that reason, I am not inclined to be co-operative. He's a business: it's really not my problem if he loses money. The cage arrived damaged. He didn't sort it, and attempted to blame it on me. Escalating it will send people like this a warning - it's probably his usual tactic until he realizes the buyer will not simply shut up and go away.'We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. It does seem silly how some sellers drag it out and try it on, I pretty much do whatever they want. Last time I got a message about a problem with an item I just admitted I may have made a mistake on my listing and apologise, I then offered a partial refund to reflect the condition or a return for a full refund + return postage if agreed it was listed wrong. As it is they accepted my offer of a partial refund to which I did it right way and they left me positive feedback.
Its not worth the damage to my feedback to take a bit of a hit here and there on the cashflow.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
