  • I think it's a lovely gesture it shows how much she means to him. I would be honoured to wear the ring if it was worth 28k back then it must be worth even more now I would be afraid to wear it.

Never in a million years. I suspect Di hated it with a passion. It was given to her with great cynicism and little love.

    god no its ugly!
  • Anyone who has lost their mum will understand this. I lost my mum before I married, and I would have given anything to have some small physical reminder of her with me when I got married. I think this is William's way of ensuring his mum is with him. I think it is really quite a beautiful thing to do.

I guess it fulfills 'old, borrowed and blue' in one item.

Diana may have loved Charles but he made the 'whatever love is' comment in their engagement interview didn't he. Wasn't exactly a match made in heaven.

Well it was all set up wasn't it.
  • To be honest - despite the entire public knowing the inns and outs of the Charles/Di marriage... to William it's just his mum's engagement ring really I guess. Hell, I have my mum's wedding ring from her first marriage kept away somewhere - the marriage was crud, but to me it's just my mum's ring. I can't stand the royals as a rule - but I can understand why he's done it.

It's a flipping ghastly style though.
