I don't know how you guys do this with kids around

I've been trying to sort out our bookcases and paperwork with a 2yo and a 4yo. It's not possible. 1 always wants some sort of toy, one's asking inane questions and trying to get me to explain calvin &hobbs .

I know it's just attention seeking cause I'm doing something other than focussing on them but it means I get a job started and then can't get finished and nothing ever gets any better

Making dinner means I have to do it carrying almost 2yo on my hip most of the time. This is a new development! She used to be fine

aaaarrrrgh - just been asked to find James (the engine) and someone else generally shouting - off to see what's going on.

Honestly - I am sooooo impressed

  • Wow, you are all brilliant, all i've managed today is to shine my sink and swish and swipe bathroom lol, although i am showered and dressed to shoes and did make my bed (but its now covered in piles of laundry) you've inspired me, I'm off to start folding. Back later.

Given our bedroom a good sort through (did do it back along so only one bag of junk today). managed to get 2 boxes of DH computer [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] important bits and bobs into one box!. Put all our old CDs that were in a box under our bed away in a draw (listen to some oldies but goodies whilst doing it:cool: ). Kept DD's aged 2 and 3 busy with one of the now obsolete cardboard boxes and some crayons, got an hours worth of peace out of that :j (well apart from their streaming when the other had the colour they wanted:mad: ) . Even gave the matress a good hoover whilst changing the bed ala Anthea Turner.

So all that is under my bed now is the flat pack of the cotbed that DD2 will be using after xmas. Not even a bit of dust hoover the whole lot:A . Sorted out bed/towel storage cupboard in our room too, all neat and tidy.

Curry on, rice cooking, all in all a good day and DD2 has had knick knicks on all day with no puddles (just started potty training). Downstairs all tidy from this mornings efforts as kids upstairs with me. Their rooms hoover

Why cant all days be like this:confused:
