    CarPhoneWarehouse do the
    Doro PhoneEasy 410

On PAYG or Contract or Phone Only but it is not cheap.

    £80 on PAYG
    FREE on Contract
    Over £100 to buy

But, at least you could go and have a look at the phone to see what it is like, no need to actually go for the CPW deal ;)

    See : http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/DORO410/?src=phoneFinder&tariffNetworks=&clearance=false

I've also been looking for something similar for my mum, but I want one with predictive text as she uses that so I'll keep searching and let you know what I find and would be interested to see if anyone can recommend anything with large buttons and also predictive text. I think the DORO 410 has it but it's not clear to me if the predictive texts works in English or not. Also she is on 02 and carphonewarehouse dont have it on pAYG on 02, although someone tole me all their phones are unlocked anyway?

thats interesting, my parents have no idea about predictive text but i wonder why you think it will not work, is this the only aspect you think is 'wrong' with the phone (for want of a better word)

Yeah, I think it seems a really good phone and I've spent hours surfing looking at loads now - I like the fact that it doesn't look different to any normal phone out there if you know what I mean as although my mum is 78 she would not be amused if she got a great big brick of a thing at Christmas! I managed to download the manual for it and it says the predictive text works in some languages, but it didn't actually say if it would work in English, and I just wondered as it is a Sweedish phone I think.
  • yea same here, i dont think dad will be impressed if i got his something that looks like a kids toy.

keep us posted if you find a good deal or anything else and i shall do the same

Yeah, I will do, if Carphonewarehouse had this on O2 I think I'd go for it, as their price is much cheaper than anywhere else I can find. In the meantime.............happy surfing!

I've gone for the Doro 410 at £103.48 from Amazon. Do let us know what you decide on in the end.
