EA makes me laugh........

I was reading another forum and noticed that as usual a twisted group of wannabe homeowners had ganged up and were trying to get the message across that houses should fall in price.
I never realised they scanned so many news articles.
I do think some on here have extreme bull views but I'd like to ask the question. If somebody is in dire straits with no means of buying a house even if prices dropped 50%. Should they be allowed to comment on these boards?
Why? They are not in the game and cannot bring anything to the table.
I made my own mind up a while back that most of these people are just losers sniping at people more sucessful than themselves.
It was funny to see an EA with the same views as me. Boy did he put the what I call ' Hollywood Bears' in their place.
Hollywood because they act like they can afford a house when in reality they are in arrears for their bedsit.:rotfl:
Anyway, this is what the chap hit them with. He's really nailed it. Jonny is my hero. :rotfl:

FTB,
Ive responded to your posts before but you go all quiet, but never mind ill have another go.
The first issue is the £18 - £24k thing which might be the root of your trouble, I could make a joke that you work in MacDonald’s but that would be insulting to people that work there as I knew a guy who was a duty manager there and he was on over £40k so that killed that one.
What I do admire about you is your detailed and (probably) concise overview on what has happened, if you cut out the politics what you say is sound and you have obviously researched the matter in depth although the government theft of our taxes bit raised a smile – I reckon you pay about £6,000 a year in taxes, just enough to keep you looked after by the NHS when you need it and to put a road under the wheel’s of your car and street lights over your head at night but again ill leave that point.
Then there is your pathological hatred of estate agents – Ive given an answer to you on this before so I wont bother again but by your own admission have never brought a property, ive never brought a helicopter so I don’t see myself as well qualified to comment on helicopter salesmen……………you see my point
I sense that you are well educated, you do sound a bit like a Student Union rep so I m guessing you are a graduate? – this comes back to the money thing if you are then on your salary you are either a drop out doing a job that doesn’t reflect your qualifications or you are in a ‘vocational role’ maybe teaching, nursing or something? – god I hope you’re not a bloody teacher, the children of this country deserve better but as you say you are going to educate school leavers not to deal with estate agents although there is definitely more skills our children need to leave school with but again ill leave that.
So, in conclusion you are a very angry, poorly paid, well educated, political individual that knows their economics (in hindsight) and clearly believes they are right on everything and can see into the future………………………………..that leaves the one question id like an answer on?
WHY THE HELL DIDN’T YOU BUY WHEN PRICES WERE BOOMING, CALL THE MARKET RIGHT AND GET OUT AGAIN JUST BEFORE THE CREDIT CRUNCH?
From you say you have sat in rented for 10 years and for that you loose any credibility you might think you have.

When you say roar, do you mean "whimper weakly"?
What IS wrong with you?
You never did explain to me what a Ghoul is. Why don't you PM me, hmm? Too busy whimpering weakly? What a sad case.Long live the faces of t'wunty.0 -
It's a mounting mountain of passion. Witness the student riots recently. It's nothing to do with being twisted, and everything to do with the most overpriced property in the world, coupled with the most cynical series of bailouts.I was reading another forum and noticed that as usual a twisted group of wannabe homeowners had ganged up and were trying to get the message across that houses should fall in price.
People are annoyed. Go figure.
Can't believe that assertion. And even if so, why do you care now? Such provocative berkishness deserves ridicule. I bite my thumb at thee.I never realised they scanned so many news articles.
Bit fascist, innit? Pretty childish comment.I do think some on here have extreme bull views but I'd like to ask the question. If somebody is in dire straits with no means of buying a house even if prices dropped 50%. Should they be allowed to comment on these boards?
Because the message has to be preached. You shall not succeed in silencing the truth. No matter how hard you try. Why? They are not in the game and cannot bring anything to the table.

You should continue to be afraid. When the revolution comes, your weakness shall be subsumed and your flesh fed to our young.
No. There is strong historical and economic evidence that there we are in the midst of a gigantic and deflating property bubble. Suck it up.I made my own mind up a while back that most of these people are just losers sniping at people more sucessful than themselves.
Going back to my earlier point, please tell me why you care! If you're living the life of luxury in Thailand, why are you bothering posting on this poxy UK property forum? You're not best positioned to call others losers if you're still bothering to post here if you're life is so fulfilled. It was funny to see an EA with the same views as me. Boy did he put the what I call ' Hollywood Bears' in their place.
Hollywood because they act like they can afford a house when in reality they are in arrears for their bedsit.
Oh, I get it: it isn't fulfilled. It can't be. Not with a peculiar vendetta this strange. Poor Sibley.
YEAH! YOU GUYS ARE REALLY SHOWING THEM!!!! That'll show them "losers". I love putting people straight on the interblag.Anyway, this is what the chap hit them with. He's really nailed it. Jonny is my hero.

OK I live in Thailand but I don't want to change the habits of a lifetime.
What do you expect me to do? Live in the jungle and start eating frogs heads?

It's laughable, isn't it. Curiously, despite not having a pot to !!!! in in Rangsit and lording it up because he has some low-paid job in Bangkok (obviously looking on with envy at the real expats there) which obliges him to rent his £100 a month !!!!! townhouse, he bigs himself up because he has owns a property in the UK.
And yet, he no more owns it than I own the same place. It's heavilty mortgaged and - I suspect - the rent barely covers his payments even in this low-interest environment.
When you take all those things into consideration, his obsession with talking up prices becomes easily explainable. It is his one and only lifeline.0 -

You really are a couple of nasty bits of work.
The most pleasing and obvious signals I get from your posts is you both have miserable lives. That really makes me happy.:rotfl:
I'm a bit old fashioned. My parents taught me to never brag or boast about what you have. It's not nice and not polite. I don't mind annoying nasty bits of work like yourselves but not decent hardworking people who may genuinely priced out or having hard times.
My motivation for joining these type of boards is to counter attack any rotten bears who try and talk the housing market and UK down. It's a load of tosh what they write and I hate the way they gang up on decent hardworking people.
I don't really want to stoop down to your level but I can.
It will trouble you to know that I thank god everyday how lucky and privileged I am to be living here. I absolutely love Thailand.
I own 50% of a great house with my sister in Maidstone NO MORTGAGE.
1 x cottage in Loose valley.More than 60% paid off with a great tenant.
My job is fantastic. My dream come true. The best company I could ever hope to work for. Money is good for UK so here it's excellent.
I can live where I want to in Bangkok. I'm married though. Thai people like to live near family and as my wife comes from Rang Sit then so be it. My house is not a slum. It's nice. 3 bedroom detached.
It suits me because I have dogs including my lovely Akita. I don't want to be part of the ex pat ' Look how important I am' scene.
The wife and I do like a dabble in the adult entertainment here. Hi Ho so what? We are both over 21 and it's fun.
So there you have it.
Of course I'm interested in house prices and want them to rise. Saying that, I've told my tenant that I'll make a big discount for him should he want to buy my place as he's been so good.
Whatever.
What are you two doing for the rest of the week?
Nothing?
We are off to central Bangkok tonight for a meal with friends. Probably go to Vertigo restaurant. Google it. :rotfl:
Thursday it's off to Phuket with customers then back to Pattaya with the wife for Loy Kratong festival and quite possible a menage trois with my wifes friend Lek.
Happy dayz.
P.S.
How could I forget?
I found out last week. I got a UK pension forecast from DHSS. I've paid 29 years NI. I've only got to top up £97 one years worth then I'll get full whack pension. That's your money that is. Bet that grates.:beer:We love Sarah O Grady0 -

To bring things back on topic.....
Sibley, you asked why allow people who cannot afford to purchase a property to post on these boards, well it is simple, one view is boring, more than one view gives balance.
I have no hope of ever owning my home again unless I win the lottery but I take an interest in what is happening around me in the property market (call it ghoulish but I got my fingers burnt in the 90's recession and have taken an unhealthy interest since, almost like kicking myself whilst down!). I find all the stats compelling, the arguements and discussions informative...it gives me balance.
I am not jealous of those who do own, who earn oodles etc....my life is mine and what I have made of it (a complete hash it has to be said) and everyone elses lives are what they have made of them.
So should I, the one who cannot ever hope of owning my own property, be banned from posting? And why? I have no agenda when it comes to property prices and see it as it is in my local area, no vested interest at all.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Duty manage of McDs on 40k? I dont think so.
18-24k is a respectable graduate salary and as I understand it may be pushing up to 30k+ for the top grads in the city.
I think this is a very weak response from a t*sser estate agent who doesnt even know how to spell McDonalds (thereby giving more proof that you dont even need a brain cell to be an EA) and who is obviously getting worried about the state of the housing market.
As he is posting replies that are that length on a regular basis, we can also assume that he has no work to do and is therefore very concerned for his employment which further underpins his tetchy nature.0 -
40k for a manager in McDonalds? Dont make me laugh! You really are a couple of nasty bits of work.
