Royal Mail Special Delivery problem

This is a strange one. As I am aware, special deliveries should be signed for seperatly, regardless to what else is signed for. I deliver to some firms that have as many as 30 special deliveries a day, each one signed for individually either with a PDA or paper. I would most certainly put in a claim and ask for it to be investigated
nope
no need
RM have(well had as they are being phased out) bulk delivery cards for firms
printouts for multiple deliveries(again being phased out)
and the PDAs allow for one signature for recorded, tracked and special deliveries.
theres no reason you should be scanning SDs individually
have you been explicitly instructed to do so? my old office has deliveries going over 200 SDs for one delivery point.
scanning them all is enough(and they contain cash) with one sig0 -

I don't want to believe he (or one of the other porters) stole it but that's definitely looking like the only plausible theory now. Oh man...I didn't want to have to take this to the building management level, but what choice do I have now?
of course you should
you are £350 down
RM wont entertain any claim from you
the track will be complete to them
(if you want PM me the tracking number and i'll use my contactsto check the track history tomorrow)
at the least the concierge/management company should be correlating what they sign for/receive
its easy with the PDA as you can see whats scanned right in front of you0 -
if the concierge signed...he is responsible for receiving the delivery...regardless of what the T &Cs may say...if they're not prepared to accept responsibility then their employess should not sign.I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
If the postie is a wrong un its not difficult for them to scan the barcode and keep the item in the van is it, especially when the concierge is signing for several items and not checking0

The drama continues.
Have escalated to the managers of my building who have conducted their own investigation and come back with "everything is in order and no foul play suspected".
That's the end from their side. What are my options now?0 -
well I am not sure of the legalities of the situation ( I am sure the legal eagles will come along with better advice!)
but for me - I would simply issue county court proceedings against the management company - their employee had a responsibility to SIGN for the items - who would do that and not check that everything they were signing for was present and correct?
RM can PROVE the item was signed for - you haven't received it - the only people left in the equation are the management company - you never know the simple issuing of court papers "might" help them "find" your lost parcel !0 -

at a minimum, you would expect them to at least count how many items should be there0 -
It may be worth getting the police involved, it looks like the camcorder has been stolen. A crime number would not hurt as it may help in your claim against the management company.0
