I'm quite impressed so far. Certainly a different experience from how it was before.

Don't think I'll be switching away from Firefox just yet though.

It's possible to remove IE7 in Add-Remove programs

I though IE was an integral part of xp. If so, just removing it would cause all manner of problems I should think.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    Click Add or Remove Programs.
Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove

Fair enough. It would appear that ie6 is restored during the uninstall of ie7. Doesn't show much faith in ie 7 though...........

They've probably done it for folks who think it's not enough like Fire Fox! ;)

Or maybe its to stop people moaning about it because they cant revert back to IE6
  • I installed it and the page which loaded up "runonce.asp" crashed my laptop twice  however IE7 is now up and running :p apart from the favourites bar being a bit of a mystery to me, it seems ok, touchwood...

I've got it on and working with no probs so far - since last night. I found Roboform to be a problem with Fire Fox rather than IE6 though, TBH.
