Do O2 reward long term customers?

I'm in a similar position to you - been with them for 10 yrs.

When I changed my phone this year, they gave me free data bolt-on for loyalty (apparently). Was well chuffed as it's saved a lot of dosh.

That's really interesting - I'm looking at getting an iPhone4 and I know o2 doesn't offer the best deal for this, especially with data! I think I will contact them in case I can get any sort of extras?!

It happened in a rather odd way.

I kept asking them to clarify issues about data charges with the 2 year contract I'd just agreed to (for Nokia 5800XM, basic Online 10 deal - £10 per month) e.g maximum price per day etc.

After a few conversations, they said as a loyal customer they would give me free data bolt on.

Maybe they were just trying to get me to stop pestering them !

I'm also a broadband customer so not sure if this was taken into account as well.

Ok that's great. I'm a broadband customer with them too. I will definitely contact them and see what happens.

You should be getting a discount on their broadband service (available with any contract, or occasional top-up on PAYG).

Btw, i was also going to quit their broadband, but they managed to offer me a 5 quid a month discount so i wouldn't see a price increase since i no longer had an O2 mobile account
