Morning everyone, room for one more?

I really need some help and motivation to get on top of things as I tend to just do the jobs that I don't mind doing and the jobs that really need doing I tend to keep putting off until it's that point where the ironing pile is 10ft high, the dust is almost as high as the ironing pile and you can't even see your face in the bathroom mirror. :o

This is not good especially when DH is rather OCD about the house and expects it to look like a show house 24 hours a day even though we have 3 children under the age of 10.

This means I quite often have a mad dash when I hear him pull into the drive from work trying to get 20 jobs done in the 2 minutes before he walks in the front door, sighing heavily when he comes in and telling him how busy I have been all day and just haven't managed to get everything done.

I would really appreciate it if somebody could let me know where I sign up and start please.
  • I did post and ask in the last thread, but please can I be added to the members list? Thanks very much.

Hugs, sticks and spoons all round and hope everyone else is a bit warmer than me today! DS went to bed an hour early last night so we were up an hour early this morning, so 30 mins before the heating came on! Brrrr! Thick frost outside too.

    Welcome spinks & realbutter

the only tips I have for newbies are: baby steps!! The house didn't get in a mess overnight so it won't get sorted in a day. But if you just follow level 1 s for a couple of weeks it'll get easier & you'll be doing levels 2 & 3 before you know it. Another really good trick is to set a timer for 15 minutes (not long, is it?!) and pick a room, or even an area within a room, and just blitz it until the alarm goes. Join in on the HHCs if you can - reporting back is very motivating :D
