I got this replyy today?
Thank you for your reply. We were informed by the merchant a week back that The validation period has been has increased to six months. This is because of many fraudulent orders made by members, only to get the cashback. There have been many such orders from members who joined our site just for the sake of the offer and later on cancelled the policy. Merchants will decline cashback for such cases.
>
> So the merchant has asked us to resubmit missing transactions on the 30th of April. We will be doing the same and as soon as we have done it, we will mail you on the 30th of April.
Fraud for following the terms and conditions?
Come on simply simples!!!
i thought exactly the same thing, and have said so in a reply email to them.
Is there any legal comeback to these issues?, as I know Martin always seems to infer that you should not rely on cashback, but surely they should honour the terms of the offer0 -
I have written to consumer direct to check out the legal issues, if the can help?SIMPLES!0

This seems to only cover the vouchers and nectar points. Does anyone have the terms and conditions that stated the cashback will be paid after 3 successful payments? Seems people are getting the vouchers, but I can't remember reading that the cashback would be paid after 3 months?
Please hope you can correct me, as I am quite mad (like everyone) at Simply Cashback and their v.poor Customer service.I too have this email, i have emailed them telling them that the change in terms and conditions is illegal and instructed payyment; surely anybody signing up prior to the 3 to six month switch should be entitled to cashback. It didn't say three months on the page (for cashback) but people have understood that to be the case as that was the terms for the £50 vouchers and Nectar. The standard email sent out then said that there was a 90 day validation period.
I am not sure that there is anything you can do legally - you, I and they know that people have been trying it on by taking up the offer with the sole intent of getting the cashback then cancelling, which is not in the spirit of the offer or what they are hoping to achieve (though it is their own silly fault for not having better T&Cs!). Will wait to see what happens, £50 vouchers should be here soon and nectar points (then cost will be covered waiting for 6 months/£30 - still £20 even if cashback does not pay!).
I wonder how the cashback model will be affected after 1st March with the new legislation relating to online advertising coming into force?

I'm getting to the point where I will help myself to £50 worth of shopping from Sainsburys. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!:mad::mad:0 -
Crikey this is dragging........ I phoned up 0800 096 9000 (Legal and General spoke to me) i have had my 4th payment taken on 17th and have been told to expect my vouchers by 28th February (lady emailed the department dealing with it and rang me back) and then you get the points 2 weeks later on your account after they ahve had recognition that you have signed for your vouchers as these wuill come by recorded delivery. I hope this helps and if anyone else gets different ot more helpful and successful resolution can they post it here pleeeeeze, cashback still loooking dire waiting for 6 month validation. :-(0

I have informed Crapback that I am contacting Ombudsman within x3 days if they dont cough up.Told them its between them and Sainsburys concerning dates, but I want my £35 now..0

I have had my complaint 'escalated' and received a rather lengthy reply from their 'director of operations' asking me to view the terms and conditions.
Specifically points 10, 15, 16, 24, 27, 32, 33
http://www.simplycashback.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.php
Now having looked at these, I'm still in the dark as to how this relates to the change in terms of inquiry from 3 to 6 months.
I did say I would speak to trading standards if the money was not forthcoming but it seems from other posts the financial ombudsman would be a better bet.0
