Just a quick one - if you check my posts # 28 and # 29 on the cinema tickets thread (No discussion) I have posted codes for 2 free screenings 'Little Children' and 'Starter for Ten' both on next week at most Cineworlds and Odeons - see other thread for full details.

Hope you get there in time!

We went to A Good Year at Southampton last week and there were bouncers on the door taking phones from people. We just said we hadnt brought them with us and went in but lots of people were queuing to get them back at the end. Sorry but I dont want to give my phone up. It was on silent and my babysitter might have needed to get hold of me.

Was it just camera phones they were taking? Was going to take my old Nokia to Good Year, as we had our new phones taken off us at the Borat screening.

    Thanks.

I went to Leeds Bradford to see Borat they felt my bag but didn't ask us about if we had any phones.
Just got tickets for Little Children but the text code wasn't recognised twice grrr so ended up wasting 50p and just printed it off in the end.

I dont know - i didnt give them the opportunity to ask - just said i'd left mine at home. Dont believe they are allowed to look through handbags (I know security at work can look through anything else but not handbags)
  • Hi people, i've never been to one of these film previews before so sorry if this question sounds stupid.
I've been onto the borat movie website and now have a printout of what looks like a ticket with my name on to admit 2 people to see the borat movie. Do i just turn up at the time stated with the printout, or do i need to change this at the cinema ( an odean) for a proper ticket.
    Thanks, Phil.
  • Phil, just turn up with the print out ticket, no need to swap at box office or anything.......but don't be late as the Terms & Conditions usually states 'Latecomers not admitted'......plus if it's busy (which I think 'Borat' will be) then you'll get a crap seat (usually the very front). So I'd say arrive 30 mins before. There's usually no adverts or trailers (not always the case but mostly I've noticed)......movie actually begins at the advertised time. Enjoy ;)
you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!

  • Just back from watching A Good Year in Brighton, no phone police tonight. A brilliant film, but then anything with Russell Crowe in is fine by me!
