can anyone who went to a Borat screening tell me if they ask for id?

i have a printout in my name but my OH and DD want to go instead. not so sure if this would be ok

    Hello

They are asking for ID from people who are clearly under 16, but not from anyone else.

    Have a good time!

yeah they asked for ID from me but didn't even bother looking at the date
They somehow assumed that those under 15 wouldn't bring ID
And it was such a hilarious film!

The "phone Police" were at the Manchester screening of a Good Year last night.
Not following this chat thread I had not realised that phones with cameras would not be allowed in the screening however.

In addition to that, the "security" people were not wearing ID, and as such could have been anyone.
When I asked one of the guys for some ID, he waved some security pass at me, but it had no picture on it. Quite frankly I was dubious as to their authenticity and would have asked to see the manager but my friend convinced me not to bother, and I handed it over (not before turning it off first), in exchange for my flimsy sticker 'receipt'.

Free tickets should state quite clearly if camera phones (and other recording devices) are not to be allowed into screenings, as i have never been asked to hand over my phone before.

However, as these people have no power of search under the law, next time I shall deny having a phone on me. (I need to take the damn phone to check on the people I'm meeting if they're not there!)
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

I went to see A good Year at Bournemouth and they were taking phones off people. My hubbie took ours and put it in the car, but people were quite happy to hand them over!

Well you do get them back!

Anyone else had problems with this offer. On the other thread there is a link for a print and collect type free cinema tickets offer but when I completed my details it said something like "thank you for entering the competition" & when I went back to try & print page it just says you have already entered............

  • A big thanks to all who post codes. Although I am on mailing list for seefilmfirst I never seem to get emails with codes.

Can anyone help me with a technical issue?
DDs friend has now moved in with us and is sharing our pc. I've searched for cookies from seefilmfirst and found only 1, which I've deleted. When DDs friend tries to request tickets, she's still getting the message that she's already been allocated tickets.

    Any Suggestions? TIA x

Edt: Have just spotted Cortone's posting. Thanks Cortone!

I've had this too, and no - it is nothing wrong - it is just not that clear.

On the landing page (http://www.seefilmfirst.com/), choose the option to Edit Details (the second option in the menu at the bottom of the page). You can then login under your chosen email address. You have to click 'update' on the personal profile page, but you do not need to change anything.

Hope you get this to work OK.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Yes, the same thing happened to me when I put in my details, and I suspect because it is a competition; I'd rather not go to the trouble of going to the box office for tickets because unless it has express instructions on the print out page, the staff won't know what it's about ( esp as I will be going at the weekend), so will just be giving p on this, unless I hear otherwise on this or the other thread..

I went to see Borat at Coventry on Wednesday - I got asked by security if I had a phone - I said yes and that was it!! How stupid is that?
    Got bag searched though!
I don't think I would be happy in handing my phone over - they should rteally state this on the ticket I think.

Good film but not for the easily offended!!!!
