I have phoned up from The Times and got 2 tickets for Starter For 10
Has anyone else phoned up and got tickets, as I wanted another code and wondered if they were all fairly similar or just random numbers.

    TIA

The Times used to have fairly simple and obvious numbering system, starting with the screening number (for a while it was 01, 02, 03, etc....) and then a cinema number (again two digits, e.g. 30), followed by 'your' number.

The current numbers suggest that they have changed it, but there is probably a similar logic behind these numbers.

My advice is to copy the number you were given already, and go in separately from whoever uses the other ticket. Or go for a few numbers either side of your original one.

However - and I don't think this will be an issue for this film at this time of day - it may be worth checking that your cinema is not 'full' just before the booking closes on October 28. (Just start on the call, specify your film, and hang up once they ask for further information or tell you there are no tickets left.) I've been to a couple of Times screenings where it was absolutely full.
  • I've registered my mum (who lives in another town) at seefilmfirst so I can send her some cinema tickets ocassionally - but when I try to log in as her with her details it keeps thinking it's me (make sense) ?

I tried deleting all cookies and offline content first but it still doesn't seem to work ? I am doing summat wrong ??

I have just called now and got tickets for starter for 10 next week, so if i needed extra tickets, could you just not phone again and submit the details of the person you were taking, that seems "fairer' to me than trying to guess the code, and you will probably find that there are still tickets available.

I've had this too, and no - it is nothing wrong - it is just not that clear.

On the landing page (http://www.seefilmfirst.com/), choose the option to Edit Details (the second option in the menu at the bottom of the page). You can then login under your chosen email address. You have to click 'update' on the personal profile page, but you do not need to change anything.

Hope you get this to work OK.
  • not wanting to clutter up the other board - would it not be a good idea for people to go in and delete any old or irrelevant posts from that thread that they have posted? would save trawling through all the other stuff to get to the codes? perhaps posters were not aware they could actually delete their own posts.
Just a suggestion - not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs

Hi, i dont think they would go to the bother to delete, when half of them wont even read that its for posting tickets only they still keep writing anything on there, we can only keep trying.

  • We went to A Good Year at Southampton last week and there were bouncers on the door taking phones from people. We just said we hadnt brought them with us and went in but lots of people were queuing to get them back at the end. Sorry but I dont want to give my phone up. It was on silent and my babysitter might have needed to get hold of me.
