    Hiya

Can anyone tell me if they went to the screening @ Portsmouth yesterday please? I received a ticket that i applied for from film factory, it didnt have a name on it and as i cudnt go myself i gave it to someone else. When they went to the cinema they were told they would NOT be admitted and that they had never seen one of these tickets before.

Firstly did anyone else go @ have any problems? Secondly I know it was a free ticket but car parking was paid for and they drove quite a way - should I complain do you think?

I've registered to some of these companies to get free cinema tickets but they all tell me to print out my confirmation ticket. My printer is not working at the moment (my 2 yr old has stuck a toy in it)

Is there a company out there that is actually sending you the tickets in the post instead???

Some do send a message to your mobile, but there is a cost involved I think 50p a text but if you Google Free Cinema Tickets they will come up

  • In the other thread, someone posted a free screening with heat magazine for 'stranger than fiction' where you have to buy the magazine and take the page to you cinema...does anyone know if you have to do this in advance (ie to exchange it for a ticket), or do you just turn up on the evening of the screening with the page (and it'll be a first come, first served basis)?
    Thanks!

Normally you need to go to the Cinema in Advance of the Screening to Exchange the Voucher for the Tickets.

You can sometimes wait until the Time of the Screening but you can run the Risk of there being no tickets left.

As the usual policy with this type of Promotion is First Come First Served.

    Hope this Helps

I saw it with 3 friends and we all enjoyed it - it was a little slow at times but overall it kept us interested. A very deceiving 'Title' cause it's really an emotional roller coater for the characters.

    EDIT:
By the way I saw this review of 'Stranger than fiction' which put me off applying for the tickets they're offering in the other forum.
