He has been online, so it is a shame that he has not replied - perhaps someone could PM him a link, to make sure he is aware of the thread?

I have always wondered if Tim uses his 'advice' to tout for business. I am beginning to feel that he does.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • 1) As you seem to have found, they cannot do this, however they dont have to refund it before you return it..... The refund and return should begin simultaneously ie you should return it now, whilst he should refund you now.

Surely this information stated earlier is incorrect as DSRs state that the refund must be made regardless of whether goods have been received.

To be fair he's never posted in an official capacity nor as he openly advertised his business.
  • Tim is perfectly aware of the thread as he referred to it in our email correspondence in the early hours of this morning.

I think the poster was merely implying that whilst a refund is not dependant on the return of the goods nor does it have to happen before. They have 30 days to refund and this should happen independently of any return, ie, you can't legally demand refund on collection either.

Be aware that he has only ever posted as a private individual and he will need permission off MSE to reply in an official capacity, if that's what you're after.

    That is clearly untrue...

All roads lead to !!!!!! Beds!

"So find a seller who gives a proper satisfaction guarantee, then call them to ask advice, as it is in their interest to make sure that you make the right choice the first time. "

"Why don't you narrow the on line sellers down to the ones who have good return policies, so that you can unpack your next mattress and sleep on it, instead of having the same problem you had previously."

"There are sellers who do give a proper satisfaction guarantee which allows you to unpack and sleep on the bed. And then if it does come to returning the bed they don't charge."

2 sided pocket sprung with memory foam? How many manufacturers make such a mattress and how many retailers are there for this mattress?

But why can't he give his view of DSR laws in this context? This is what I am after from him - a public interpretation of the laws.

Ehh? How's that posting in an official capacity or touting for business. Until this thread started I had no idea which company he ran, in fact I've had occasion to ask him and he refused stating forum rules.

As I mentioned - due to the experiences of someone where the mattress got 'dirty' after being collected I would prefer that the items were despatched to the seller after I have a refund - they are all unused and undamaged. Where do I stand on this?
