If anyone has any probs escalating to PCW/Currys, just send an em to John Browett, Chief Executive, Dixons Group / Currys / PC World at address john.browett@dixons.co.uk.
Worked fine for me a few months ago but haven't tried it since.0 -
Okay and, if correct, my original posting still stands up
Not really but i'm not going there, we could be here all night.
@ BAZ H, did they definately say it had already been used, rather than its been cancelled by head office?
If all vouchers have a unique barcode and number on then for it to already have been used, someone would have had to forge a voucher with the correct barcode and number on which I find highly unlikely for a £5 discount...
Very strange.0 -

Not really. There could be many reasons. For example, a few days ago, PCW/Currys blacklisted any vouchers that used the same postal address.
@ BAZ H......if you really think that you have a case to complain, I suggest that escalate via sending an em to John Browett, Chief Executive, Dixons Group / Currys / PC World at address john.browett@dixons.co.uk.

However, I don't hold out much hope that your complaint will be upheld in your favour.:)0 -

No it is very strange...... read my post again... like I said, if they really did say "the voucher has already been USED" rather then it had been blocked / blacklisted.... then for it to already have been used someone would have had to forge the voucher.... highly unlikely IMHO.0 -

Just sent em to John. Great if I can get anther voucher for my course work. If not, I'm not too bothered as I have done okay out of this offer.
Fingers crossed !!:D0 -

Er no...Read my post again. If "the voucher has already been USED", it is very likely to have been blacklisted to SHOW that, in PCW's view, that it had been used !! I gave my reasons for blacklisting in previous posts !:)0 -

I was thinking the same thing.0 -

LOL, we're going round in circles...
I agree 100% with what you are saying above, they wouldn't want people using vouchers more than once so once used they "mark it as used on their system"
However what I am saying is, how can a voucher have been used twice... it would require someone to have forged a voucher and guess the correct barcode and number to put on the forged voucher.... IMHO very unlikely....
Hope that makes sense as not sure how else I can phrase it.0 -

I understand you perfectly. Not quite sure how someone can't. Maybe you should draw a diagram0 -

I disagree as there are other options as well.....
If someone has used the same address for multiple vouchers, any business will blacklist all vouchers ! PCW appear to have done just this ! Hence, it does not require for someone to have forged a voucher and guess the correct barcode and number to put on the forged voucher for someone to use a voucher twice. They just use the same postal address for PCW to "mark it as used on their system".:)0
