    Hi,

    OK that's one boiler .
You mention another boiler so, where's that?

It's not possible to have a hot water cylinder above the cold water storage tank.

Grundfoss pumps are pink.(ish) not blue/green.

  • Hi,

Then you don't have a hot water cylinder.

I don't know why anyone who has actually looked at your property and it's water and c/h set up has not understood what you have.

The boiler with the pump does the c/h, the plastic tank is the f&e tank for the heating.(unless ,when you run a cold tap. you can hear it filling)

Hot water is mains fed instant.
It's easy enough to check by running taps and seeing what the pressure is like on hot and cold.

    Have I missed something?

You are a godsend i was starting to think i was going mad not having a cylinder!!! :)

In your opinion would it be a simple swap of boilers, new piping, powerflush etc or more complicated if you saw this setup?

    5 Bedrooms 2 Large 2 Medium 1 Small

Dining room and lounge fairly large

1 Bedroom has a ensuite and there are 2 bathrooms.

The ceilings throughout the house are approx 3.5m high

There are 14 Radiators installed between 40cm and 1m wide and all 60cm high

I don't think there will be many combi boilers that could cope with your home so that means unless you add a (very large!!) hot water cylinder you pretty much are going to get what you have already (eg 2 boilers).

  • Hi,

You would be looking to have an unvented cylinder with a system boiler fitted. depending on the mains water supply.
I would suspect your hot water doesn't work very well when two or more use hot water.

Can't help but think it's a wind up, the Main looks like it's just a box sitting on the floor,or is it just the way it's photographed.

Get yourself a decent installer through the door.
