  • I am so annoyed about this and embarrassed - I made up a baking set for my sister using the tray and she is looking forward to receiving the mixes. I would not have dreamed about buying such a ridiculously overpriced tray if it wasn't for this offer.

Is there an email address we can complain to?

Nevermind email (which will just be ignored) - the best route is a politely worded letter to the chairmen of the companies involved. It will at least tell them what a public-relations disaster this will turn into if we are all fobbed off with a 15% voucher - incidentally, if this voucher is for your next purchase, then it will be worth all of about 30p!

EDIT: Just read it's apparently off any Tefal product - do they really think I would EVER buy another Tefal product after being conned into buying an overpriced cake tin I don't need? Can you tell I'm miffed? :)
  • If I get a voucher I will want my money back off Tefal. I too bought the tin because of the offer. But as they still have my receipt and I had to cut off the barcode I have no chance of returning the tin. The broke their own terms by not dispatching with 28 days as stated. We need Martin to get on the case :)

i agree but i don't know what martin would be able to do as it says whilst stocks last :(
i think they should have let us know within the 28 days though if they weren't able to fulfill the offer & i totally agree cutting the barcode off means that even if they had told us we wouldn't be able to return them  i bought the square tin & medium cookie tray that i didn't really need for this offer

The other crucial point with this offer is there are only about three people on this thread who have received anything.......did they only ever have 5 * years supply to allocate?
Also if you notice...if you follow link to forms etc at the front of this post....it has Tefal Comp on the top suggesting this was really a competition......
I am annoyed too especially as we had to send of receipt etc.....also no correspondance at all......I like others have been left with a nasty taste of burnt devil's cake!

I've also heard nothing but will give them a call tomorrow. I will be more than irritated if I get a 15% off voucher. I also want my receipt returned because of the guarantee on the tins. I'll complain too, like most of you, I only bought the tins because of the offer. 15% is an insult to be honest.

  • We trusted them implicitly, cut up the packaging and sent them our receipts. We've paid a vast sum for a baking tin & sent them all possible proofs of purchace so no chance of returning it. The CS person I spoke to kept saying 'it said "while stocks last"'. Bet their baking tin sales were best ever - and it'll cost them b****** all, cos who's likely to use 15% off a Tefal appliance when what they wanted was 24 cake mixes. Clever them. Naive us. I definitely think John Lewis / Waitrose & Betty Crocker should be included in any response we make - I'd think they'll be pretty unimpressed by the way Tefal's appauling behaviour makes them look.

i would have thought that as this offer was limited to john lewis/waitrose customers & that there wouldn't be an enormous amount of people taking up/knowing about this offer plus the link for the form wasn't widely known about i don't think so i don't see how sending out a few after the 28 days deadline was fair of tefal!

I too applied for this offer and have still not received anything. I phone the number given on this thread today and spoke to a female ( sorry did not catch her name) who is dealing with the offer. She works for Tefal. She called it a competition !!!

She was able to find my details and they received my form by the 25th Nov but all stock was gone by middle of October she said. When I questioned why they were still advertising this offer on John Lewis website when their stock had finished she replied that they did not sent out the cake mixes etc till after closing date and it was in the order that they had received the applications!!! I questioned her further re advertising the offer still with this knowledge and she said that they did not know this till after the closing date as this is when they started sending the products out!

By what she is saying, I understood that anyone sending forms after October may not be getting anything !!!

Sorry for lengthy post and hope it makes sense.
I am gutted about not receiving the mixes and like others would not have spent that much on the pan!!!
