i cant make my mind up what to do! i also never have a problem with size 8's, both boots are too small (i have one foot slightly bigger than the other) but i dont know whether they are small enough to hurt me eventually or just irritate me!

ive not looked at the rubber round the ankle but i will do. If you return your's i'd mention that as if they are faulty they will have to pay your return P&P!

If the ankle bit is wrong or the sizing is wrong, you maybe have a pair that shouldn't have gotten through quality control? I'd contact Cotton Traders and talk to them about it.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Mine arrive this morning! They're for my step-dad who is a size 11, however they do look quite small for the size! I'm sending them to him for xmas in France, so won't be able to return them if they don't fit...:/

When I saw mine I thought they looked small, but when I put them on they were nice and roomy, so I think the outward appearance is a bit deceptive.

I'm normally a size 11, but thankfully I went to the outlet and bought some there. Ended up buying a size 12, as they seem to be quite small fitting.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to OP. We have lots of snow and these boots have been fab. They have a really good grip and are toasty and warm. I highly recommend them!

With this weather, I am really disappointed I had to send mine back as they were just too small - next size would have been too large.

Back to putting on the walking boots!

I had to walk a couple of miles in mine yesterday, over rural tracks mostly and up and down steep hills - they were absolutely brilliant, not even a hint of a slide, and the snow doesn't ball up in the treads either :)
