  • Sarah, information on breastfeeding and anticoagulants here... But there's not much there... You could try ringing the drugs in breastmilk helpline it's a very helpful service :)

Thanks Krystal, you are a star x

The sex thing has some scientific backing, as sperm contains a certain hormone, which either mimics or stimulates (can't remember which, sorry!) the production of oxytocin. I think nipple tweaking has a similar effect in that it releases hormones.

Other remedies like curry, castor oil, pineapple etc don't have any scientific proof to back them up, but I think they mostly just stimulate the bowels, which can get things moving a bit 'down there'! Presumably, a mild laxative would have a similar effect!

I don't have a strong opinion on reflexology which may have a real action on the body, or it may simply be a combination of relaxation and the placebo effect!
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

It's very nice to see you all back in your natural habitat and please do pop into the PT whenever you like. We got a reputation for being cliquey and nasty from somewhere and I hope you're not all put off by it (not at all because we love teeny babies and need more of them). Best of luck to all of you for uneventful pregnancies, textbook labours and no tearing :)

    Thanks, sugarspun

Ah, it's good to be back where we all belong!!!

Congratulation to Fuzz, what a beautiful name!!

And hopefully Emsy is having mummy cuddles by now!!!!

Well, just sitting down having cleaned the living room up to within an inch of it's life as we were due visitors tonight before going out for dinner and lo and behold, the minute I finish, OH calls from work to say we are meeting them at there place! Typical. oh well, at least the house looks tidy.

Chuffed to bits to get an e-mail yesterday to say I'd won a competition I enetered about 2 months and there is a petite star zia stroller heading my way!!! Wow, been ages since I won anything and this is brilliant. We were going to look at prams etc in a few weeks time in Glasgow so not sure what to do, if I will still need something else or if this will do. Anyone have any experience with this brand??

Welcome to our newbies, we are a good bunch really and feel free to make yourselves at home.

Hey grateful was wondering where you were LOL!

Sexy back when is your EDD? if you want I can add you to the list :)

17 weeks today, time was really flying past at first but it has seriosuly slowed down now :( I've not bought anything for bubs either and tbh I probably wont need to I have kept sleepsuits, vest clothes etc from when DD ws a baby. Do you think though that I should buy new ones (just vests and sleepsuits not outfits) or will they be ok after a wash?

All I've bought this one is a Moomin babygro from Asos... Poor thing is getting it's sister's cast offs... Whatever the sex!

Teenie, there's no reason you couldn't use the same vests and gros :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • coops great news about your competition.
