Have you actually been told you can't get an ambulance because if you have then that is appalling. We were told at our antenatal classes that if you go into labour while your husband is out and you think you can't wait for him to get back, you should ring for an ambulance to bring you.

Well I've just been reading around and apparently they won't send an ambulance. Then again, can't trust everything you read on the internet but so many people have said it. :S

URGH my day just got TERRIBLE. I was supposed to be going to stay at OH's this weekend and we'd planned on going to the cinema as I have a Vue cinema gift card I need to use. Now MIL and her boyfriend of 5 years broke up and so she says I can't go as she doesn't want us being 'coupley' around her. Which means OH has to do a 3 hour train journey after a long day at work on Friday so he probably won't bother. I understand that she's just broke up with her boyfriend but even if she hadn't she'd find a different excuse. I'm just so down already and now it's even worse. I honestly don't know what to do but cry.

DH is about to go and put a padlock on the back gate and fill in the last bit of fence as we had a random stranger wander up our garden today asking about scrap metal, and whether we wanted our old rusty car taking away. THAT'S MY CAR AND I STILL DRIVE IT

    Oh dear :rotfl:

Does anyone else get "Unresponsive script" on the secret facebook page. It's really annoying and keeps freezing my Firefox :(

I have just had a thought and wanted people's opinions and advice. I have a cotbed for the baby which will be upstairs. But I don't fancy the idea of the baby being upstairs sleeping in the day when I am downstairs, especially when it is really small. Now I wasnt going to bother with a moses basket or similar but I'm thinking now maybe I should, even if its just for the day time. Any advice for the clueless one here? lol

DD from birth would have 1 x 30-60 minute sleep in the day! it was exhausting.
I am hoping this one can manage a bit more I'll be using the pram carrycot downstairs and a moses basket upstairs. If I didn't already have both ( pram was DD's moses basket was gift) I'd manage with one or the other and just carry it up and down

I have two moses baskets but just carry one up and down. Sam sleeps most of the day, I don't like to wake him just to take him upstairs so I don't bother.

Teenie - I feel a bit like that inside. It's not even like we were going to be around the house much. We were supposed to be going out friday evening and all day saturday. It also means we can't go have our sitdown with the council housing department so it's slowing things down. :(:(:(

hngrymummy I don't understand this colour thing? Could you explain it to me please x

There are a few theories as to why it happens. The one that makes most sense to me is that the wiring in my brain is slightly odd, and some of the nerves are too close together. This means that when a noise travels down a nerve in my brain it stimulates another nerve too. In my case it's a colour nerve. For some people it's a taste nerve, so when they hear noises they taste things too. I don't see the colour so much as perceive it. I also get it with pain. So when I have a headache I get other nerves stimulated too. Could make labour a bit interesting :D

    Does that make sense?
