Well, happy weekend ladies. The only chance I get to stay on top of this thread as most of you are busy out shopping and cleaning!

I on the other hand, have planned sweet FA!

I have decided on a pram though....pre-loved as I am not paying £750 for it! Mamas and Papas Ultima. BFF is lending me her car seat, carrycot and stand so I know where it's been but going to buy all offa eBay and use what bits I want namely the pram bit/chassis.

DH due back from Germany at lunch so going to drag myself out of bed and run a bath, tidy myself up and look forward to big cuddles this aft. Out at a comedian tonight too so might grab tea in town. Hope you lovely ladies and bumps have a good weekend.x

Hope your all ok girls, I am just sitting here realising its 4weeks today since accident, its not a good thing to look at clock as I then think where we were in the grand scheme of things on that day. I imagine saturdays are going to be like this for a long time to come.
I think they will be, but time is a great healer. (hugs). Enjoy the dress shopping today (I know I wouldn't - I hate clothes shopping).

Talking of dresses I have our work Christmas Party in 2 weeks  Time flies. I need to try on the 2 dresses I got earlier in the year for the hen do and wedding to see if either fit :)

Oh! Forgot to say I got a good freebie in the post yesterday from hipp organic. It is a bit like those taggies you can get. Worth joining for and much better than the other freebies I've got from them. Xxx
What's a taggie? I joined back in week 12. I got a thermometer (which I'm going to convert into an Eeyore thermometer) and a progress calendar for when baby is born. There was something about some piece of clothing, or blanket, I forget but if I remember rightly it said it would be posted near the due date.

OH got a booklet of vouchers yesterday for Tesco (for being staff). £20 worth plus some other bits, including a free photo book. Want to take advantage of the photo book but have no idea what to do it on as I already have ones of the wedding, honeymoon, the DIY on the house, the rabbits...and I'm a scrapbooker so I do my own photo albums anyway. Trying to think if I could do it as a gift, but my mum really isn't into that sort of thing and done them for in-laws before. Would have been better next year then I could have done a baby one! Has to be done by 31st December though.

Oooh I'm going to start packing my hospital bag today :D Am so excited :D Yes I am sad :D

my DS LOVES his taggie, it has got him to sleep since 6 weeks old (after the hairdrier stopped working)

they are quite expensive, his was £17 but it was a gift. He loves the smell and feel of it, especially all the silky taggies. I got him a spare which he never entertained so Ill have one for bubs. He doesnt need it when hes out or anything just when hes really tired in his bed. It was that or a dummy.

    these are taggies

Ejecoms - I see you're due on Xmas Day - if it was a girl I would suggest Holi/Holly (I worked out when I was TTC that a baby conceived during Holi would be born at Xmas and therefore it would span both celebrations!) of course things didn't work out like that.

We also have Kiran on our list, how about Ajay? Take it you're not using the traditional hindu baby-naming method - we're not either - would make things even more difficult!
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.

    Thanks nic.

Oh I just remembered, for the HiPP Organic thing, I registered using a promo code that came in one of my packs - possibly the bounty pack, I honestly can't remember. I think that's why I'm going to get something extra near the due date...because on the website it doesn't mention anything about it.

  • 2girlsforme - depending on the result of your gtt you are also more than welcome to pm me. I was controlling my diabetes by diet prior to pregnancy and had done so for 6 years - the doctors all marvelled at this as usually people only seem to be able to control their diabetes by diet for 2- 3 years before having to take medication.

I sympathise with the gtt - it is not very pleasant at all - sickly lucozade drink on an empty stomach for several hours.

anyway since becoming pregnant iam having to inject insulin, but seem to be on low doses by comparison to other mums/mums to be i talk to at hospital and i think it is related to the dieatry measures i already had in place and have refined in the past few months.

ejecoms and makeit3 - i am also going through the search for hinglish names as oh is english - i really don't want arguments with him over names. I might wait for the traditional letters/name thing. i think our argument will be over surnames as i have double barrelled mine with his and would obviously like my children to have the same - to retain their cultural identity etc etc

coops - i also do not have any of the baby stuff in the house - supersitious maybe, but with having already had one miscarriage earlier on in the year, and now having the complications of a twin pregnancy coupled with diabetes i'm not tempting fate
bargain shopping is the only way to shop :j

Just wondered if I would get one too as DD was a good size too. Although I have heard people say that 9lbers are the norm now.

 Well i hope this one is a similar size or smaller. Some on the PT had her little boy and he was a pound heavier than Lily and there were some complications, so im worried.

Molthedoll - I loved the lucozade type drink, it was yum :p

And reeeeelax. They think they are doing you a favour by not inviting you and making you feel awkward and obliged to go. I missed one last night but could've gone had I not planned a night in, alone, bored. Oh the joys! Try not to take it personal as I am sure they just have misguided good intentions.
