I am worrying about how I will cope having less personal income than I am use to having. I know I will find ways of managing but I also don’t like the idea of asking OH for money for stuff – I suppose this is the downside of being used to having financial responsibility and independence for yourself. It’s going to take some getting used to!
Hey sweetie, yeah, that sounds very familiar. I'm in the same boat, I have always had an income and to be honest, been the main earner so to be not bringing in money if I take the full 12 months off will be very strange indeed. Will be hard to have to ask for cash!!!!
I'm very lucky, been with the same firm for a VERY long time and I get 6 months full pay (provided I go back for min 6 months) then onto the usual SMP etc. But I have been putting money aside as OH job is a bit erratic. I have also been stocking up for months with nappies etc and received a lot of hand me down clothes from SILs.
My little one stopped the usual dance routine for a day last week and scared the bejesus out of me. Typical that when I went to the midwife the following day, baby was hiding, back to back with me and just being a lazy so and so!! Scary though!!!!
Loving the jungle theme too!!! Just need to get backside in gear and go get it!

hngrymummy - I have the same issue with the M&P under bump jeans. I spend most of my time with a saggy bottom!!! Or them hanging off me. Doesn't help that I'm 5'2" tall!! lol

Make it 3 - good luck hunni!!!!

Bargainprincess - you too!!!!!

Lablover - I got an ecoegg thermometer the other day and it looks really cool and I too am planning on getting a slumber bear as I've heard great reviews from friends.

RBG - LMAO at the lack of Northern Ireland!! How dare they!!! It's usually Scotland!!! lol
Sounds like everything was conspiring against you the other day but glad it's picking up now. (((hugs)))

Ecoelle - sorry about your sister and hopefully the midwife will be able to advise what impact it may have for you.

Sammy - Like you, I seem to be getting a lot slower and OH thinks it's hilarious!!

Hitchins - My OH doesn't really even try to sound interested if I talk baby equipment. At least he's honest enough to say that he is happy to leave it all to me. lol. Men eh!
LMAO at the pics of the clock, I should try that when I am trying to get out of nightshift!!!! My dentist said that he is not allowed to disturb existing "metal" fillings as there is potential to give you an abcess (sp).

Hiya Delain - :hello: Hope the toothache is getting better, nice to see you posting!!

Sarahangel and on the edge - congrats on being full term!!!

Lillian - huge congratulation on the birth of Samuel. That is a long standing family name for me and I love it, unfortunately, my cat is called sammy so I won't be using it!!! lol Well done that woman!!!!!

Evansangel - gosh, this FB group sounds like a secret, secret club. I wanna join!!!!!! Can anyone who is a member consider me, honest, hardworking (well, my boss might not agree with that comment as I do post a lot while supposed to be working), friendly (when not having tantrums), chatty (see longggg post above)!!! lol
Ah wait, added lily now (FC are my initials)

Well, onto nightshift from tomorrow night, can't wait!!! NOT. ha ha
Not too much happening with me at the moment other than I am now starving after having typed this and read back everything I have missed for a few days!!! Back in a bit if you guys are unlucky!!! :rotfl:

Hi Cutteryby was wondering where you were. Lilac Pixie hasn't been on here for ages either...if you're lurking hope your ok!

Dying hair-I have done it once and it needs done again. I too waited until after the 12 weeks.

Sammy you will need a tea strainer hun. Now wether this is true or not I don't know but when I used the RLT teabags my sister said "oh no that's not the proper stuff, what you need is the loose tea, it's better but tastes rank!" LOL TBH I will buy the t bags again but if someone gave me the loose tea I would just use that. Might look into the tablets too as you do get a bit fed up drinking it. I swear this is what helped me with my actual labour (along with a couple of homeopathic tablets ;)) but it didn't help me to go into labour I think that's what some people forget.

• Hello Everyone. Hope your all having a nice Sunday. I've been at my dads for a few days, nice to be chilling out and being spoiled.
Congrats to Lillian - sorry everything didnt go to plan, but glad that Samuel has made an early appearance :)

Think it was Teenie that was asking but I am also getting a lot of wetness down there (Sorry if TMI) been like that for a few weeks now, I am going to mention it my MW on wednesday as (again sorry if TMI) sometimes its white and doesnt smell but then other times its got a kinda greeny tinge to it and doesnt smell that great. Its something that I am worrying about now as I am due in 4 weeks time, dont want to pass anything onto bubs IYKWIM.
Also havent been feeling a lot of movement in the past few days and a lot of pressure down below, I am assuming that the baby is just running out of space, but any advice would be great :)

xx

Been to ASDA and got the microwave steriliser and manual breast pump. Thought was going to be disappointed as couldn't see any space for the pump in the baby event section but they had one left plus reduced bottles etc in the normal baby section near baby food etc. Might be looking there if they haven't got what you are looking for in the event section.

Can I join the secret secret club please! If anyone wants to add me as a friend then PM me your linky or I'll send you mine! I'll add Lily to my friends in meantime, EA you've already got me as a friend (intials CS).

EA and RBG- they are fab bumps, wish I could be more bump rather than just looking fat like I do anyway. Hoping starts looking like a bump in next few weeks! OH says he can see bump more obviously when I'm laying down.

We are having terrible trouble thinking about names, especially if its a boy. I think I upset OH when I said if a boy it can't have same first name as him.....I think its just a bit...well naff, sorry if that offends anyone. Happy for it to be a middle name. Still under 2 weeks until we find out hopefully.

Hey everyone :)

Lillian - Congratulations! Read through your birth story. You're much braver than me, I would have just broken down into tears for the entire time. Hope you manage to fix the feeding soon and lovely name by the way.

madbird - I know it's still very early but I was bored yesterday so I started suggesting names to OH. He shot most of them down, said maybe to a few and then I asked him to suggest a name he likes. He refused. So I kept prodding him to just choose one damn name, and he chooses Antony. I don't particularly like it but I have put it on the maybes anyway. Hopefully it will grow on me as it seems to be the only name he likes! I'm already dreading a discussion of girls names!
