    EA, thats an impressive bump:D
    Lillian congrats:D

does anyone know if it is ok to dye my hair? I have had conflicting reports from friends who have been pregnant who say no, my midwife said it was ok....google says yay then says nay. I have blonde hair and my roots haven't been done since September and are 3 inches long....

I would say do your own research and make your own mind up. I dyed and highlighted mine at 16 weeks. Wouldn't have done it pre 12 weeks though.

Vroom, i very recently bleached my hair and then dyed it the next day. Everything has been fine :)

The dye is only dangerous in large amounts, for example if you drank a tank of it... :p

    Hi all,

Just catching up and to say congrats to Lilian, lovely name for your little boy!

We had booking in appointment yesterday and came home with loads of info and paperwork, free samples etc. The book they give you is excellent and almost wish i hadn't bought the 'what to expect when you are expceting' book - however - that is an excellent book and has so much more info, so both will be of use.

We have had our due date now estimated at 24th July, but midwife said that as my cycle is normally 32-36 days it may be after that, so we will see. Scan is Wednesday and will also do the blood tests etc then as well. Prob won't tell work yet as can't handle the worry this week of explaining and then having to start planning - small white lie now and prob tell them next week to get it out of the way.

Have a great Sunday ladies x

Yeah can understand that . Do you think that's why your not sleeping? You know stressing out about the depression coming back, not sleeping, so you stress out about depression etc etc?

Sorry ladies a TMI question :o do any of you still get a lot of erm moisture down below? I always have to wear panty liners and get a bit itchy now and again. I have cream I put on when it happens and it never comes to anything but not sure if I should mention it to MW nearer my due date if it doesn't go away as is it true that the baby can get thrush from the birth canal if you have it.

I actually am not worried about it coming back as such...I feel sometimes I am going down that road but manage to bring myself back IFKWIM, the stressing thing for me is I know I am tired but my tossing and turning is keeping hubby awake and then he gets stressed at work coz he is tired :S
I have had to wear panty liners for the past few weeks as there seems to be constant moisture...glad someone else has this although mine is just that...moisture.....I mentioned it to the MW at the antenatal class the other night and she suggesteed I leave in sample to be tested and get a high vaginal swab when I see the Dr/MV next just to rule out any further UTIs which I was prone to at the start....HTH

When people are talking about losing touch once the babies are born...why can't we make another thread for ourselves? We have the 'under12 weeks' we have the 'pregnancy' why not another one for 'new mse parents'? Then we could keep chatting and share problems, questions, good deals available for new parents...just like we do on here but for the problems the kids cause us once they are outside of our bodies!

I've thought too that there should be an under 18 months club as so much is happening feeding, weaning, teething, walking etc etc so different to older kids, I just can't relate to parents who have problem teens :rotfl:

Congrats Lilian - lovely name! Hope he recovers soon.

Am I in the minority - I love reading the birth stories - good and not so good. I would rather know what bad things could happen. It's a shame that not enough of the mummies post their birth stories - I for one would live to hear them :)

Yes congrats Lillian, I'm going to read your birth story now.

My cyle is 35-49 days and when I've had dating scans they've always put me as the standard counting if that makes sense, I guess it depends when in your cycle you ovulate.

Thanks for posting your birth story Lilian. Pleased you got your little boy sooner rather than later :)

I too have been very wet "down ther", so I've invested in a lrage box of panty liners :o Spoke to MW about it and she said it was very common and to just use the liners. Hey ho, another joy of pregnancy lol.

I have a Raspberry Leaf Tea question please. My sis bought me some for Christmas from Neals Yeard, but its proper loose tea in a plastic bag. How does one make a cup of tea out of this? :rotfl: Do I need to use a strainer or something? I've only ever made tea from tea bags :o

Why are men always so much worse at being ill than us ladies?? DH and I are ill together and he is behaving like such a weakling. I just get up and get on with it, but he's been in his PJs since Thurs night, and I|have only just got him in a bath now  I'm trying to persuade himto come on the afternoon dog walk later for some fresh air, but you think I would have asked him to run a marathon?? Men - meh!!

Hiya gang, remember me?? :D I'm finally over my [STRIKE]not flu[/STRIKE] flu so thought I'd pop in!

Haven't been reading offline so no idea what I've missed! Hope everyone's ok - just skimmed the last few posts, congrats to Lilian, lovely bump EA, and VB (are you Victoria Beckham in disguise?! ;)) I bleached and dyed my hair nearly every week all the way through my first pregnancy, didn't do any harm, and I've dyed it a few times with this one - but have gone black now and won't be changing colour again...
For at least another couple of weeks :o

For what it's worth, I reckon there should be an in between place too - the parents thread people are lovely and so helpful - but it's a big scary thread and they've all been together for a while so it can be quite daunting joining in - think we need a 'tweenie' thread :) As for the new FB group - please could someone invite me? I've always wondered if there was another group cos not much seems to happen in that one... I do have a few of you on FB already, but if anyone else wants to be my friend (course you do, you're only human ;)) then give me a shout - or maybe we could do that friend suggesting thing?

Anyway, sorry for the mahoosive post for my first one back - sorry to anyone I've missed - it's not intentional, feel free to poke me if you feel I've ignored you!

Hugs to all - labour vibes to those in need xxx
