P.S. I liked the way Rachel described it on "Friends"....it's like a ketchup bottle, you have to bang it a bit to get it out!

  • Pizza with basil on it. There's something about the basil. A pizzeria in NY had great success with overdue women going into to labor after eating there.

I remember one thing my granny said - Drive over lots of bumps to shake the b---s off if I wanted it to be a girl. I know that's not the kind of advice you want now but this topic reminded me of it.
  • Although I've graduated from this thread, I saw this on the freebies board and thought of you all! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2857784

I'm a reflexologist and so far have had 100% success rate in inducing overdue women. All have given birth within 24 hours of treatment - one gave birth within half an hour and I delivered the baby! Bit quicker than I expected lol.

There are specific pressure points around the ankle which are contra-indicated for women in pregnancy due to risk of miscarriage. At full term these can trigger labour. Book a reflexology session or look up these points online and get partner to massage them. Good luck!

  • Hello - may I join? It's a bit late because I am being induced on 24th November (at 38+1) but it would be fab to chat with you all until then. I never joined in before because the thread moved to fast to keep up but I am on maternity leave now so I can check in more often.

My sleeping pattern is completely ruined at the moment - hence why I'm still up now! I find it easier to stay up until I am ready to drop instead of lying in bed all uncomfy and flailing around like a beached whale!
