Hi all,
Could i be added to the list please? Im due 12th May 2011, and dont know the sex of the baby, we chose not to find out at the 20week scan, we both agreed we wanted a suprise!
I was posting on the less then 12 weeks pregnant board but havent had chance to post on here but do regularly read it!!
Pregnancy going well, have MW on Tues, have to be rescanned at 36 weeks as i have a low lying placenta, just wandered if anyone else has had this? The sonographer said that 90% of the time it will move, but if it doesnt it means ill have to have a C-Section and i dont want that!!
Welcome Rachel! I had this as well - had my scan at 32 weeks and it had moved, as did my friend and it was the same outcome. I'm sure you'll be the same - there's not much you can do to help it move I don't think.sharkeybabe wrote: »Does anyone else have really sore hands? Yep - agony. They kept me awake last night for quite a while - I should really have a day off the laptop to help them heal a bit. My MW said if it gets really bad to go to the hospital and they'll give me wrist supports, but it's miles to the hospital so I might just get some tubigrips from Tesco/Boots today.Princess_Coupon wrote: »Mine are a bit manky too, was the same the first time, I think they are leaking a microscopic amount which is drying in the crevices.
Same here - I was expecting a more liquid leak but I just end up with crunchy white/yellow bits in the gaps.
As for maternity vs night time pads, I'm sure I read somewhere that you shouldn't use normal heavy flow pads as they absorb too much and can hide signs of infection? Can't find where I read that though. You can get packs of 10 maternity pads in Tesco for £1 or 99p in Boots. I think I need to get some tighter knickers to hold the pads in place though, maybe some shorts-style ones?
Well, first official day of mat leave today and I've been up since half 6OH is off work the rest of the week after today though so am hoping for a bit longer lie in!

Jojo - I know one of my friends used a weighted pelvic aide to get hers back in line after a 12lb baby. She swore by it, and her OH even said he felt the difference IYKWIMDS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Morning ladies
All this talk about bras has got me looking. I got a fab nursing bra before and it had poppers rather than the fiddly clips, but I can't find it anywhere
It looks like one of the Bravado ones but not sure if they have completely done away with the poppers now."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Just wanted to say in case others haven't seen it - ddebski_us is back on the less than 12 weeks thread with some wonderful news, I know some of you were on that thread with her before so thought you might like to pop over with some good wishes for her

Morning ladies,
Complete utter carp nights sleep for me.
Got in bed with OH at about 9pm, he started snoring so I shifted to the spare bed straight away. Then woke up at 4am and was still lying there at 6am .
doesn't help that the spare room is half way to becoming a nursery so we have no curtains up in there at the minute.
Sorry to whinge. I'm outta work bang on 4pm today, going to collect some of those hooded towel I've reserved in Argos then home to bed.0 -
