Emsy - congratulations but you must be utterly exhausted - 84 hours - I didn't think that was possible. No ladies, that's not a cue to tell me you topped that.

Twoflower - can only echo what others have said, you are perfectly welcome on here whenever you want to offload whatever you want. Only wish there was more we could do to help.

Well had my urine analysis results today and I have a UTI. Midwife said she'd faxed the GP surgery instructions to issue a prescription for antibiotics, but the surgery's machine is out of toner and haven't received it. Tried to call back the midwife line, but they've now got a recorded message saying they're closed till Thursday because they're having a rush on delivering babies!

MI3 - I would harass the GP surgery again if you can't contact a midwife. I'm sure someone has a contact number for the on-call midwife, who could at least pass on a message. UTIs are horrible. In my experience, midwives like to be uncontactable when they can get away with it, but they never are really.

This was a hospital based midwife not one from the community team I usually deal with. Hopefully the stationery delivery man isn't also rushed off his feet with deliveries and the surgery get their new toner tomorrow. I think that will be quicker than trying to track down a midwife. I'm not in any pain with it, only found out I had an infection cos of the routine urine test.

Well we did not have a good day yesterday, little man may have an infection and be back in hospital, they have taken swabs from some nasty looking spots and will get results today, although he is less spotty today so hopefully he has maybe fought it off himself.
