Got all excited bout the sale, but the sola's not in it, boo
I feel like I'm back to being myself after the exam. It went okay I think, thanks for the good luck vibes. I think I was okay on most of the areas, but they had to prompt me a few times so I'm not sure whether I'll pass or no, find out just before Christmas !!
Very amusing moment on the tube, I don't look v pregnant especially not with my winter coat on. No room to sit so I was leaning by the door, when one lad picked up his girlfriend as the train moved and they both came swaying towards me. I shrieked and jumped out the way, instinct resction, but then had to explain it, said I'm not usually worried, just cos I'm pregnant!! Cue girl on the other side getting up and pointing me' to her seat, bless. I was very red faced tho!!

Coops your probably in bed by now. I don't know how you do all those nightshifts, I used to do 3 on 3 off and they killed me. They were so boring too. At least you have some time off at the other end to look forward to. When does your Mat leave start?
Cutterby,my DD loves collecting pine cones where ever we go. We always have loads at Christmas. She fills her pockets and bags whenever were on holiday. These ones are from Silloth in Cumbria at Easter time.we've used all the best ones or I'd send you some.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning all
Thanks coops *was gonna put a hug smiley here but there doesn't seem to be just a hug one so imagine a hug anyway*. Sorry for making you teary, I have the same effect on myself sometimes :rotfl:I've done the leaving the keys in the door trick too, poor hubs is hammering on the door at 5.30 am and I'm quite happily out of it - whoops!
There'll be a brew here waiting for you next time you're on
Fingers crossed it's good news ema, not too long to wait to find out - it's Christmas two weeks today  / :T depending on how you feel about it - for me it's definitely :T (Will have to read back to see what exam you did...:o)
Good luck and labour vibes cat and eje
Aww, thanks anyway Nic, will have to go for a trek again today, sure the dog won't be complaining... My feet probably will though :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day xxxx

Aww thanks. I work as a business analyst, so it was an exam for that - it was an hour's oral exam though so more like an interview, based on 4 modules (I did the first one in 2007 so was rather difficult to revise for!!!).
I like what hngrymummy said about the cabbages - I think I just have enough time to plant them, sounds much easier than the traditional labour / childbirth methods
Not sure who posted the link for the birthing pool, but thanks, it looks good and love the fact that it maintains temperature. Do you think I could hire one from now until April...
I will seriously have to work out what I can do, would really like the option of using a pool but the hospital / birth centre I'm going to only has 1, might have to ask about hiring one to use there in case it's being used. That or I need to keep twisting OH's arm to go down the homebirth / full birth centre route, humm.
Sorry, turned into a bit of a monologue. Have read back, but can't remember who said what (no brain capacity after exam) so hugs everyone and sorry if anyone feels ignored - I know all of us do at some point and its even easier to get upset about when preg and hormonal xx0 -
RANT ALERT!!!!!
Morning everyone. Is anyone else getting sick of Xmas already???? I thought I was really organised for Xmas, had got most of my prezzies in and this weekend was going to have a lazy weekend wrapping and trying to get into the mood. (this is the 2nd year that my DH is missing Xmas and im quite upset about it) Anyways, I just dnt know what the heck to get for my dad - he has everything and wants nothing!!! I asked his girlfriend for ideas and all she said was tshirts., its ok for her she has bought him all the things, i had suggested to get him !!!!!
To top it all off I feel like poop today and really dont fancy trekking through the shops looking for some invisible present that I know I wont be able to find. I am nearly 31 weeks now and I am really starting to struggle - not sleeping properly and feel shattered all the time.
Anyways - sorry for the moan.

I had a really rough night, my hand was in agony last night, it felt as though it was on fire. It's still painful pins in needles (feels as though I've been out in the snow with no gloves then came into the heat). Ican hardly type this. Feeling a bit sorry for myself.
On a plus not OH put some bread in the breadmaker last night before bread, so woke up to an amazing smell. Im off to make doorstep bacon sarnies, and a nice hot cuppa.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Aww ((hugs)) sharkey. Dads are def the hardest. Thankfully this year my mum bought mine the PS3 move so I am getting him a new game and another wee thing.
What's your dad into? Ivd spent the last week on the Gadget show web site, Firebox and IWOOT.
There is loads of good ideas like cool speakers for IPods/phones.USB microscopes etc.
Ivd decided to get oh a Blu ray player as he also has everything.
My back up is always a nice bottle of malt whisky and a good hardback.
I wouldn't go near the shops today. Im planning to do a bit online then the rest on Tues when it's quieter. But there's a few things I ordered a week ago and have all been dispatched but aren't here yet. I'm worried about ordering any more.
Sorry to here your hubby won't be home. Hopefully next year you can look forward to your first Christmas with your new addition.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Thanks Nic. Well I've ordered some things online last week and I got some of it today and it says that the rest will come on Monday - so I am not that put off yet. But finally after searching for 3 hours, I have decided to just get him some gimmiky stuff instead of my usual main present for my dad and if he doesnt like it then lump it.lol. Ive also got some discount vouchers for Prezzy box so saving money as well.
OH hates being away specially over Xmas but I know he is doing it for our family and it wont be long really until he's home and then of course we will have our hands full witht the new arrival!!!! Cant believe how close it's getting, has made me realise that I am actually really unorganised and dont have any of the things that I need - hopefully she will stay put untl I get everything in order!!![/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Morning all
Forgotten everything I was going to say about everyone's posts cause I'm rubbish, sorry
Had a Christmas get together with some girls from work last night, they're not just girls from work though but really close friends so we did presents and mulled wine and food at my house - exhausted now but spent all morning cleaning up because OH is hungover from his work Xmas do. Thanks OH! That also meant I didn't get to sleep until nearly 1am because of the time he came in and then was awake half the night because he breathes REALLY HEAVILY when he's been drinking
Anyway, never mind. Have lovely days everyone!

Hi everyone,
Had my 18wk appointment yesterday, mw couldn't find babies heartbeat so she got another mw to try with her doppler and nothing.
There were talks about sending me for a scan, but they sent me to the maternity unit as they have better dopplers.
She found the heartbeat after a long search and baby is ok, phew. She said the placenta is probably in front of the baby0
