Were all settled in thanks. Our spare room is still full of boxes, stuff and empty boxes. Oh and I are getting stuck into it tomorrow.we need it for family and friends coming for the Xmas week.

Making mince pies today was the first real Xmas thing I've done with DS. We glued glitter onto pinecones the other day but that took 10 mins.
We normally do loads in December. But I feel I can't sit and relax or take time out from getting this place sorted.

I want some pine cones for some Christmassy crafting, just can't find any round here :( Hope the sorting out goes well - I'm dreading if/when we ever move...

Me too now! Looking at photos of last time, it was a bit different to this pregnancy... this was taken when I was 33 weeks, I think (sorry, all my photos seem to have horses in!)

I was the same... Riding right up to the day before I went into labour, still in my jodhs, mucking out, carrying water buckets, everything... This time I can barely lift the kettle!! And as for jodhs - don't think they make them big enough :rotfl:

Aww, lovely photos C, he looks like a lovely beast. The first photo in that post makes me want to give him a big cuddle.

He was the sweetest animal... Had such a rubbish life before I got him and took him ages to properly settle with us and realise we weren't passing him on after a few weeks, but he was still so loving and kind. Moo used to drag him round, jabbering away to him, and he followed her everywhere, he stood on her once - just once! - and he was mortified about it, bless him. I consider myself incredibly lucky that I've had three soulmates in my life, my Fluff pony, my daughter and my husband. Gah that's soppy! :o

Baby Ice is indeed shy! Bubs wouldn't show his / her bits during the 20 week scan! He or she was like its father, face down and sleeping lol.

Aww bless him/her! Creature was the same, but was asleep when we went, they woke him/her up so the little toad curled up and refused to let them see anything or take any measurements so we're going back on the 20th - hope he/she behaves better that time!

I've as many Fluff pictures as Moo pictures in my purse - could easily bore you for hours about either of them :o
All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

Great news Catw0man! Are you still having contractions? Hopefully won't be long for you now!

Been having lots more contractions, but don't feel I'm going anywhere to be honest - though they are getting increasingly more painful:o. How are you getting on Ejecoms ? Are you still having contractions?

Ooooooh I'm sick of having to go pee every five minutes!!

I feel the need to go everytime I get off the toilet at the moment:rotfl: Thing is I go sit and nothing comes out!!!

    Oooh well done you!!

Mine got cancelled, it actually got cancelled yesterday cos I spoke to the test centre who said they havent done any tests in the last two weeks it was 99% likely that todays tests would be cancelled too and I kinda needed to know cos the test was so early and Id be having an hours lesson beforehand and OH is starting work at 5.30am at the moment which means Im having to get DD to the childminders myself. Anyhoo they are supposed to be calling me in the next 3 days with another test date but it wont be til mid Jan cos they have such a backlog. Its crap but nothing could be done I guess. We still have a lot of ice on the side roads here, main ones are ok but they all need to be clear for tests to go ahead apparently.

Congrats again, bet thats a big relief isnt it!!

    xxx
Did you mention you were heavily pregnant? lol... My instructor said a couple of people who got cancelled last week got cancellations so were in within another week... And the examiner told me he once did a test with a woman who was due in 3 days time :rotfl: I think the worry would send me into labour that close!!

Huge relief though yeah, I was so fretting about the cost... Not too worried about the failing... According to a book I bought, it takes the average woman 4.6 attempts to pass... (Plus I told Hubby that if I failed I was just going to tell everyone it was cancelled because of the weather...)

Plus, the overdue toddler group mum I was worrying about in the snow, gave birth with no-one except her hubby there (who did a brilliant job of catching apparently) - ambulance and midwife arrived after it was all over. Apparently the midwife had walked from the other side of the town to get through the snow to her. This has only made my (probably totally irrational) fears about that happening to me all the more real :rotfl: They, and their gorgeous son are all fine though, so maybe it should be a reassurance...

ETA Huge congratulations Krystal, that's wonderful news :j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T
    TY :D

And how scary for that poor woman!! She did well though (and her hubby too) At least I know we wouldn't have to worry about a situation like that, we live 5mins away from the hospital, just off a couple of A roads and right near a motorway... They're usually pretty clear...

Hope that link works!! We are just getting the cotbed and drawers as the nursery is tiny, think we might also get a cot top changer (I am bound to cover the drawers in stuff so won't be able to use it for bubs). Has anyone used one? I suspect I will only use occasionally for night time changes, but have seen them pretty cheap on eBay.
I've just changed mine on the bed in the middle of the night when they're tiny... And on my knee or the floor as they get bigger during the day, once they stop pooping every 5mins, you don't need to change nappies at night...

Also, you could get a tallboy or a wardrobe and putting drawers in the bottom to save space but still have hanging room...
Oh and my mum calls them Branston Hicks!! Pickle contracations anyone!!
I've always called them branston pickles :p

Also measured bump, measured 29 cm, apparently it should be a cm for every week, not sure how accurate that is.
Not very accurate at all... That's why I'm not letting them anywhere near me with their ikea tape measures!
Oh and i'm 24 weeks today - go TEAM VIABLE :j:j:j
    :j:j:j

Hope things start getting more productive for you soon Cat :)

And Charlie, I hope they reply to your email sharpish, how dare they leave you to worry like that!!

I went out with Hubby for his birthday last night, we went to see War Of The Worlds at the NIA, which I wasn't really looking forawrd too... Much more his thing than mine... But I really enjoyed it in the end... It was a bit hairy at first... The show was a sell out and the seats we were in were 2 in from 1 end of the row and they were all so close together we were more ear to ear than elbow to elbow and I was really struggling , my back was aching from scrunching myself up and I was starting to get too hot from all the people... I thought I might pass out, or worse... Throw up on the poor sods sitting in front of us...

Anyway, at the interval I stood up to try and stretch my back out a bit and Hubby started asking me if I wanted to leave as I was obviously suffering... We could see that there was loads of empty seats in the restricted viewing part so I suggested he ask a steward if we could maybe move to there... We wouldn't be able to see so well but at least we wouldn't completely miss the second half... He worked up a bit of courage (He's actual incredibly shy!!) and went and explained how uncomfortable I was and asked if there was anything they could do to help... They printed him off new tickets for the disabled area... Right by the stage... On comfy chairs!! We were about >....< this close to Jason Donovan at 1 point!! It was so much better and I really enjoyed the second half so much more... Brilliant customer service!!

My back has been agony today though from all the walking and sleeping in uncomfy hotel beds...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hope things keep going for you catw0man. All my contractions have stopped for now. I went round to a friend's today whose baby is just 10 days old (so cute!) and she said she'd had a similar episode a week before she gave birth, so I guess nothing may happen for a little while. Since I had those contractions I've got really
impatient and really want to meet my baby!

Annibee - you posted about feeling emotional. I feel the same - sometimes I will get irrationally angry (usually with my husband or in-laws) about things that don't bother me the rest of the time and I seem to cry all the time. I think it is all hormones but actually it is probably the symptom I find most difficult to deal with.

Sorry post looks funny - it is difficult to edit on my phone! Sleep well everyone!

No no no. On your due date, you go out into the garden and look under the cabbages. That's where babies get left. My cabbages were planted in plenty of time to make sure they're nice and big for baby to hide under.......

    ...........

    wait just a minute.........

    you don't mean I have to.........:eek::eek:

LMAO !!! Oh my goodness, the guys in the office are asking why I am in fits of laughter!!!! Thank you so very much!!!!

Charlie - ((Huge hugs))) That's a very shoddy way for them to have treated you. Complain!!!!! Grrr..

Dusty - you do make me laugh!!! And yes, men are just, well, men!!!!! Unions always make me a bit nervous too. Not much advice I can give other than keep chasing your boss, weekly updates perhaps as to progress?

Annibee - I too feel very ungainly at the moment and it's taking some time to get used to!!! Not funny.

Lilian - oh thanks for the sleep info, I have been sleeping on my right side or on my back with my legs pretty much straight on so will try the left side etc!!

DueMarch - lovely bump!!! And nice dress!!!! Can I have some of your chinese!!??!! leftovers are fine, always better second day anyway!!!

Cat - oh hunni ((hugs)) glad the scan shows baby is just playing about with the midwife!!! Hope the hot curry works, you brave thing!

MV - oh that is lovely of your work!! Cupcake thingie sounds lovely!!! :T on being on ML now!!

Nic - I was wondering where twoflower was too, hope she's doing okay. Glad you and OH are going to get to grips with the new house!! Nice to be a bit more settled I'm sure.

FairyShazza - you and I may well be on the TTC trail again at the same time!!! Ours is pretty much the same plan as yours!! Lovely about your OH and the little one. My OH hasn't felt much yet, but then the fact I'm on nights and hardly seen him doesn't exactly help!! lol

Teenie - card companies catch us at every turn!!! Try to chill, for the acrobats sake!!

Krystal - lovely of them to move you to a better seat!!!! Winner.

Phew mega post!!!!!!! Hope everyone else is doing grand, where's Sammy gone this time!!!!

the most we had at once was 5, but we had to sell them all gradually to concentrate on my old man... (Got him when I was 11 and he practically brought me up - which sounds ridiculous I know but my mum wasn't any kind of mother and he was the one constant in my life who never hurt me and loved me unconditionally) He was very old and very poorly and has been galloping in the sky for three years now - I miss him every day but he's happy and safe now and not in any pain. He visits me in my dreams every now and then so I know he's still around which is reassuring :) Not quite ready to get another one yet, if I'm honest I doubt I'll ever find another half as genuine as he was... No doubt there'll be another one at some point, there'll just never be another 'one' if you know what I mean... :)

That's one of the sweetest things I've read in a while and I had to go and leave the office so the boys wouldn't see my crying.

It's nice to see you posting, don't worry, we all have off days nowadays!!!! It's the same for us all in that some posts are answered and some not. It just depends on what else is happening and I agree, sometimes it's hard not to be a bit miffed but check to see, usually there are some thanks to make you feel better. Keep posting hunni, we are here, honest....:D Tea, weak with milk for me please if you're making!!!!

    Ah, nightshift. the joys.

I'm having an easy night tonight, had a not so good day again but getting over it now I think.

We had the carpet fitter in to put the carpet down in the nursery (which now looks fab:D) and when he left I was looking forward to snuggling up in bed but realised he was still on the drive reving his engine. His van wouldn't move due to the hard packed ice!! Great. Wasn't going to make the same mistake twice (see yesterdays post!!!!) so gave his a shovel and was going to leave him too it but felt kinda bad so ferried hot water out to try and assist in the movement of the van. Finally went to bed 2 hrs later leaving him to it (he was pushed out by our neighbours who run a joiners business 2hrs later:eek:).
Then, poor OH had to wake me up mid afternoon to let him in as I'd left the keys in the back of our front door!!! Poor man had to climb up on a ladder and chap on the window as I'd put earplugs in to drown out the sound of the carpet man reving his engine!!!!
I'm not sure who was more mortified, me for being a baby brain and not taking the keys out or OH for having to wake me!!! :p
Fortunately, I can see the funny side as can he.

What a day. I will be shattered by the time I get home tomorrow at 8am though. OH did offer to drive me to work and pick me up which was very sweet of him as I am 30+ miles away but I declined. Poor love deserve to have a long lie tomorrow after working hard for weeks.

Feeling all sore at the moment though. I seem to be very stiff round about the hips and have to take my time once I get up to get things moving. Is this normal?? It is getting really uncomfortable lying in bed too because of it.
