GOod luck for this avo lwcus and it has just occured to me I may have sent labour vibes to CL rather than Catw0man hehe.....CW my earlier vibes were for you blame the alien stealing all my normal thoughts and replacing them with mush :P
OK update on my quiet morning....have just spent a fortune online so I don't think I will be going out to the shopping centre after all.....I really do hate Firebox and IWOOT as I could spend even more money on those sites for hubby...thinking I might have to close the lappy to stop me spending heheThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -

Anyone had any thought about how to deliver the placenta yet? I'm considering if I'm lucky enough to have the pool birth to have a natural placenta delivery. Apparently you stay in the pool with baby and they leave the cord attached until the plancenta comes out. I think if I give birth on dry land I will have the injection. I need to look into pros and cons of both a bit more.
If they time the injection right it is good, if they do it a bit wrong, placenta can be retained.
I really really hope that if I am able to have a pool birth then it's free. I will be so gutted if it's not. She did stress a lot that we need to think of using the pool as an 'option' not our actual plan to avoid disappointment. She's told us to go away and think about other ways we'd like to labour for if the pool isn't free. She did say we can labour in the bath (again - if they are free).[/QUOTE]
Can you get on to patient care/your MP and ask them to ensure the equipment is in plentiful supply? Its not a new idea and lots of people want them. Why are they not properly equipped?Just wondering if any of you ladies are doing perenial massage ? I'm thinking of starting now I'm 32 weeks (if I can reach!!) I'm just scared of an episiotomy.
xx
Get your DH to do it;) Worked for me, on #3 and no tears/cuts.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I'm 35+2, and have read that you can start drinking it at 32 weeks. Read quite a few positive things on the net, just wondered if anyone here had any wisdom to share?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

From what I've read, it really does - it makes sense I suppose, we're slathering ourselves with creams and oils to keep our bellies supple so we don't get stretch marks, so this has to work in the same way? You can read the first two pages about it from Marie Mongan's Hypnobirthing book here: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=RUWfcKp8onwC&pg=PA175&lpg=PA175&dq=mongan+perineal+massage&source=bl&ots=4DcQzXNqrO&sig=V6rQCWxNhXTKnrBAmIBjT6d8FgA&hl=en&ei=N4v_TIWxOYSk8QPTltGMCw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBYQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=falseMetranil_Vavin wrote: »has anyone started on this yet/got any experiences they can share?

No wisdom but I'm willing to try anything! I have read that it's not that it makes baby come any faster or induces labour but instead it strengthens the uterine muscles and also strengthens baby. Benefits here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_raspberry_leaf - they seem to be so great that I'm going to do it anyway even if it doesn't help with the labour! My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

I drank this when I was expecting Ruby. You can also get it in tablet form as well as the tea. I have a friend who swears by it! I went into labour on the 23rd Dec but Ruby was back to back so I had a very long labour & ended up having a section so not really sure it did anything for me. I'll give it another go no doubtOur 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -

Yeah you can, or you can use vegetable oil, sunflower oil, vitamin E oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil...I think as long as it's a pure oil it's fine - wear a panty liner in bed though!
I've been wondering again about using Evening Primrose oil capsules as a suppository from 36 weeks: http://pregnancy.families.com/blog/can-evening-primrose-oil-help-soften-the-cervixMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
