mmmm! sugar sandwiches - they taste just like cake mixture.
My nan always makes quick ice slices. She just sandwiches custard between 2 jacobs crackers & tops with icing. They're quite nice the first day, but on the second day the crackers have gone soft & they are so scrummy!!!!!!0 -
Nobody said JELLY!!!!!! Little pots of jelly are soooo expensive. I can't believe people actually BUY them
I bought six little plastic pots with lids in Tesco (they are the size of a big yoghurt pot) and I make jelly, Milk Jellies, Yoghurt Jellies, jelly layers, Mini Trifles, jelly with fruit, custard pots with fruit or fruit puree (tinned 'savers' or fresh). They aren't too unhealthy and they are certainly CHEAP!

Pancakes are a quick and easy dessert. Just produce a pile of pancakes and let the kids spread them with their own choice of toppings or fillings. Lemon juice and golden syrup is a favorite in our house, but other good fillings are:
Jam
Blackberries and yoghurt
stewed apples with cinammonEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -

(i know i'm a wicked mother:rotfl: ) upshot of it is though, i do treat him to lurpack, because i'm so impressed that a lad will eat bread and butter and enjoy it.
xx
My youngest DD loves bread and butter too. Sometimes she asks for it in her packed lunch!! I make it for her but I do feel worried that the dinner ladies might think I am a mean mother who can't be bothered to make a proper sandwich!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow - I thought I was the person who invented sugar sandwiches!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Have you tried a slice of bread, buttered and a really good sprinkle of sugar on the top toasted until the sugar sort of melts!!! Delicious.
Can get slightly burnt crusts and be careful - the sugar is really HOT:rotfl: :rotfl:

A friend from school used to tell me about ribena sandwiches - soak the bread in undiluted ribena and sandwich between 2 other slices! Another friend used to eat celery with chocolate spread in the middle. Delicious!
Just thought of a uni favourite - mars bar toasties!0
