Hi I saw your post but haven't time to read it all so the advice I give may have already been advised and if this is the case I'm sorry. Time is of the essence being Friday afternoon. If you really have nothing, no cash, no food then you need to present yourself at social services this afternoon, they have a statutory duty to do something to help you. don't call go there, and really show them that you are in dire straights. They can give you some help/support/get onto the jobcentre and get them to pull their finger out.
You could contact your local salvation army they give out food parcels which should see you through the weekend
The father of your son?
Contact your bank and cancel all dds, contact creditors & explain the situation. contact landlord/mortgage provider and explain the situation. Contact Tax credits as your entitled to more child tax credit if your not working (the element that used to be included in income support)
Post a list of ingrediants in your house on the oldschool board and people will give you meal ideas. Be brave speak to your son's school they have a hardship fund and will be able to help.
sell anything you can on ebay.
Be strong you will get through this.
Where are you? If you're anywhere in east kent pm me and I'll drop a food parcel round xDF as at 30/12/16

Thinking about it further - yes, stand your ground with jobcentre / DWP on the phone. They should be able to offer a bridging loan (which was designed to cover the gap between claiming and receipt of benefits). This may come as a crisis loan nowadays, I'm not sure. But, whatever, fight your corner and don't accept a knock-back.
Whereabouts are you in the UK?0 -
I hope you've manage to get the crisis loan arranged. The others have come up with some good ideas. The Old Style board are brilliant at making a little bit go a long way in the grocery department so its worth trying over there for suggestions.
Freecycle also have childrens clothes and shoes offered sometimes.
Please let us know how you get on xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Following on from Taplady - definitely get onto freecycle, you could put a wanted advert on it for shoes / coats etc. There's all sorts of people on freecycle looking for new homes / stuff for free so don't worry about asking.0

You could also apply for a budgetting loan from the social fund, a friend of mine recently applied and was given £350.00.It takes a few weeks to process the application though. I think the repayments are £5 or £6 a week and they are deducted directly from her benefits.
Hi gerry.
I am thinking of applying for one of these. Could you tell me the reasons why your friend applied what what your friends circumstances are..?. Is your friend a single parent etc.?0 -
Where are you in the country? I can get tesco to deliver you a box of food if that would help, they let me deliver to other addresses...if you would like this, IM me your details and what you need..
Its not right at all that you should be in this situation and please, don't go down the cam girl/escort route, some things are just not worth it.
If you dont need the help, I hope it all works out for you soon and someone is able to help you somewhere x0 -

Household items and clothing i think, i think she said a budgetting loan is available to everyone on benefits the maximum they award a single person is £350.00 they deduct the repayments straight from her benefits.0
