Insure the box

Has anyone used Insure the box for their car insurance? I've never heard of it but it's by far my cheapest quote and I'm curious of other peoples experiences.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My son took out his first policy with them in at the beginning of July and saved himself about £800 compared to other insurance companies for 17 year old drivers. They fitted the box really quickly. We get a monthly analysis of his driving but we are still waiting for them to set up the full analysis which will enable him to receive bonus miles, we are told this will be set up by the end of November and he will receive backdated bonus miles. Other than that and having to pay in one lump sum seems to be good. It is good for us as parents to be able to see how safe his driving is too! It will be interesting to see what his renewal premium will be next year.0

My younger son used them for the same reason, i.e. price. I am pleased to say that he has not had to make a claim so we have no experience on that front but they have the financial backing of some pretty big names.0 -
I just got a quote after advert on radio. I am 27 & husband 27 both driving 6 years and got full no claims bonus. Never had any accidents.
Quote was £1500!!!! over double what we pay now!!!!!!! :mad:0 -
We recently took out a policy with Insure the Box as they were, by quite a margin, the cheapest to add our 18 year old daughter as a named driver. Like previous posters we haven't had to make a claim, but so far our experience has been good - friendly customer service and the telematics box was fitted unobtrusively and on the date arranged. While I have confidence in my daughter's driving, I think that the presence of the 'box' and the information it gathers will help make her an even safer driver.0

This company has come up cheapest for me too. I live in an insurance claim blackspot and despite my OH and I being in our late 30s early forties with 8 years no claims an low mileage our premium has rocketed from £695 last year to £1200 with AXA.
Insure the Box have provided a quote of around £650. The only drawback I have noticed is that I would not be covered to drive other vehicles which I am atm (thoughI rarely have the need to use someone else's car)
I would be interested to hear from any other older drivers how they have got on with this schemeTwins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -

where does it say you cannot drive another car? Ive just got a quote fully comp so I assume can drive other cars when fully comp0 -
Just because you are fully comp does not entitle you to drive other vehicles 3rd party automatically - you need to check your t&c's0

I know was just askign where does it say this in the T&cs0
