I hope you dont mind me putting in my tuppenceworth here:rolleyes:
I think and agree as others have said this is IAs thread and no one has a right to come on to make derogative comments.
However, I am also thinking poor SEK because I think she must be feeling very much an outsider, very unpopular. I think that she made that initial comment and then was shocked at the response she got. After that she tried to justify it but all that she did was dig herself into a deeper hole and make herself more disliked. Reading between the lines I think that she does feel jealous of IA because with her husband working all those long hours, no mother or family to support her and her being with an angry teenager and two young children, she is lonely and isolated. So when she sees someone who is popular with a lot of virtual friends she feels resentful. When she posted about her situation maybe she was hoping for a few kind words and maybe a virtual hug but she got a lot of criticism instead which served to alienate her further. She realised that even telling her story did not soften anyone's heart. That was her trump card and it failed. Reading between the lines, when she was told to start her own thread she probably felt that she did not want to confide her situation to people who were running her down and who had seen that side of her.
What she said was wrong but I am just trying to analyse why she acted the way she did, just trying to walk in her shoes for five minutes. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
I feel a bit sad for her too, but I also think our reactions were natural - in the 'real world', if you were with a group of friends and someone you didn't know came up and criticised one of them, you would be annoyed, and would stand up for them, and that's basically what happened last night (and the night before).
For what it's worth, I do hope she comes back and starts her own thread, or even posts again (non judgementally) on here. Contrary to what she believes, we are nice, compassionate people, and don't like to see anyone suffering. We would be more than willing to give her the same support and friendship that we give each other if that is what she wants."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

It was me that started it by replying to the post in the first place and asking for help on the Lenny vs the Girls thread. You just weren't here and I was mad, needed some back up. Sorry IA, it was all my fault and I apologise0
