The person who put the guitar on freecycle obviously couldn't be bothered to do it up. If Sarah is willing to put in the time effort and money (regardless of how little it costs) then I think she has every right to sell it on.
Sarah I also think it will give you something to focus on and achieve which will do wonders for the depression.0 -

What I miss when I'm away for a few hours...
IA has donated many things to Freecycle and to others in need (me, for 1! I had a nearly new iron off her very kindly)
Me thinks IA has another wind up merchant on her hands-she collects trolls you know!

I have a step (you know one of them things you step up and down on) I bought it about three or four years ago when I was going through my step class phase. I bought it and never used it - I dragged it out from under my bed..
Now it needs restoring (ie a good dust) - I could ebay it, but (big sigh) I can't be bothered. Now that says a lot about me, and a lot about IA.. I will still be in debt when IA is home and dry. I am going to put in on Freecycle. If someone picks it up, restores it and ebays it, then good luck to them. I think they must need the money more than me.......
If you put things on freecycle then you have to accept that you have no control over what the recipient does with it. Fact of life.
IA - I know you will restore it with love and care and then you do what you want with it, because by then you will have put your personal stamp on it and it will be yours to do what you want with it.
