I just wrote a huge post and lost it, grrr. Anyway the long and the short of it was that I was being bossy (moi?) and saying that I didn't think Ste needed to get a new game on the day it came out when you had set yourself a target to get the Citi paid off. While I don't think you should push yourself into manic debtbusting until everything settles down nor would I suggest buying things you don't need but want at this time. He can wait surely? What about it being his treat for his first pay in his new job? I also wonder when he isn't seeing the new games coming out all the time at work if he will become less bothered by having to have the latest. Why do you have to be at the back of the queue every single time for a treat? If anyone should get a bit extra it should be you for a change. Sorry if that is a bit harsh towards Ste but it is about priorities and remembering he isn't the only one going without.

And also, are you not about to pay off Ste's credit card debt with YOUR new Egg card? So he owes you one, lol!

Yay! Nice one! My mum would've done the same for me.. I love mums.. I miss mine so much :(

I did have a little pang this morning on your behalf when I was posting. My grandma died of cancer when I was your age, and as she almost brought me up, it was quite tough, so I can appreciate how much you miss your mum.

Don't forget though, your mum lives on through you. I know you probably don't think it now but when you are older you will do or say something and you will almost do a double take and think 'that was my mum talking!'.

Her pearls of wisdom that seem to have so admirably been passed on to you will in turn be passed to your girls. What a legacy to have left.:A

Sammy that's so lovely - made me well up a bit. I love the idea of parents living on through their children, I'd never really thought of it like that before.
