Yup. The first alarm will always be the price. Classic Talls retail around the £200 mark.0 -

I saw the UGG Australia logo and assumed that it was legit.... I know I’m an idiot for doing this and am happy to hold my hands up to that. Although I’m shocked that they haven’t been closed down if they are using the trademarked logo on their site?
I brought the misses a holiday and wanted to get here something nice to open for her birthday as well... hasn’t worked out that way it seems.
The amount and the merchant name on the transaction don’t actually provide any reference to the site/product; would it not be best to raise it as a dispute? In all honestly I don’t know whether the txn that has appeared on my account is even for the boots? If it helped, say thanks...0 -
Ooh look, a bargain! = I have lost my common sense.
Get on to your bank, Devils. Hopefully they're be able to get your wedge back for you. Does she really really want Uggs? You can get fabulous Ugg type boots from other places like Schuh, Office etc. They'll be cheaper and just as nice."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

What should be my next steps? As the transaction on my account is for a difference value and from an (what appears) unassociated company, cant i just start a disputes claim with the bank?
Yeh well if you don't already know. WHOIS is a tool that allows you to see to whom and where a domain is/was registered (and what other domains they own - in this case 7 others). Its a legal requirement for any domain so if you want to know where a company is from always do a search as .co.uk .com etc means nothing. (just google WHOIS and select the second link titled domain search).
One thing to note is that if somebody wants to remain anonymous, they can pay another company to register the domain for them, hiding their details. This is usually a bad sign as it usually costs more to do this, so it only makes sense if you want to hide your details.
If you look at the bit i posted. The lower part shows who registered it and then their location. So in this case Shanghai.
It's a bad thing as almost anything from china like this will be knock off, be it UGG, A&F or Jimmi shoo (or whatever it is)
Do more research into who took that money, have you googled them?
If you do think it is part of this transactions, get onto the card provider and get the ball rolling.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

I called the bank and advised that for the dispute to be legit i'll need to wait for 30 after the funds have left me account, and if the goods havent arrived they can run with the dispute.
So either the boots will turn up and i'll probably have to keep them, with any luck they are good enough quilty the misses wont mind.
OR
The boots dont turn up and the bank can take the hit for me being an idiot.
Either its not great as i have to wait 30 days before i can actually do anything, at least it was only £60.00, i'll be keeping a close eye on my account over the next month.
Appreciate all your help.If it helped, say thanks...0 -
