Even if it *is* £5 a day, for the winter months, I think I will be more than happy to pay it!
Actually, I think it will be ok - it is a townhouse so keeps fairly warm from its neighbours - also, they have only put the heating on in the first floor and ground floor - the top floor is lovely and warm without as the heat has risen. It is all zoned, room by room, so it should be fairly easy to keep it efficient but toasty warm.
I think the cat will love it too!!
The charity shop have called back to say they will pick up my surplus treasures on Monday lunchtime - that will be another load of stuff right out of the way, and a good deadline to be working to for the decluttering!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yes you're probably right - it does sounds lush!
Lol at the cat!
Good news on the charity shop collection, that's the sort of thing that reduces stress and makes life easier. Have a nice afternoon (if that's not a contradiction in terms being at work ) xx0 -

Sorry not had time to catch up properly, but sounds like things are going well for you.
We were incredibly lucky with the drive home (with one exception). Amsterdam to Brugge was clear, but snowed Thursday evening after we arrived, a super walk through snowy Brugge to a restaurant, and the same to the main square for breakfast the next morning ( far cheaper than the hotel breakfast rate - so mse), very low tech gritting, a man with a bag of salt hand throwing the salt after the rubbish lorry. Still snowing the next morning, so waited until it was light and after the rush hour, a clear run to the chunnel, until we saw the one exit lane blocked with lorries, but it appears it was being used as a lorry park, and managed to get off to the chunnel. Not too long a wait, then the M20 was relatively clear surprisingly northbound, southbound it was a lorry park near the chunnel, and before that accidents had it closed. M25 down to 2 lanes was different too. But managed to get to London, found a hotel, car dropped off at garage, and by 3:30 was having my eyebrows threaded as saw a mega deal (only 2 pounds
, well I'd been looking for somewhere for a week or 2 and saw the sign!!
Hope everyone is fine, will catch up on the thread probably on sunday, as long as flight goes ahead tomorrow!!
P.S. The one exception - carefully packed everything for the both of us for 4 days in one small samsonite wheelie, hubby carefully packing the carboot at the hotel in Amsterdam, so told him it was there, and left him to put it in the boot. First comment in Brugge when he looked in the boot, was where was the wheelie - answer in Amsterdam!!! Fortunately had been found in the hotel carpark, but necessitated a quick shop for basics in Brugge - fortunately the passports were in my handbag
Hope people are coping with the weather.0 -
Good grief Se, how frustrating! Well done for keeping hold of the passports though! :j
Hypno - I went on MG's course, and one of the things she said was that you always work better (and remember things more) at beginnings and ends - so that's why you need lots of breaks - more beginnings and ends, see?0 -
