Hi Raquela - sorry you have not been well. The noodles were from Espresso, near St Andrew's Hall.....yummy! The thai place is where I went on Friday for a quick lunch - always good value there too
Ooh, I haven't been there in yonks, must try! I really like the pizzas from the Deli there. Their cakes look amazing too, but I'm always too stuffed from the pizza...
I'm job hunting today after braving the job centre yesterday (which was actually fine, I was quite surprised. I think getting to speak to a lovely person was helpful! And very understanding about my being ill, means I can set limits on work I'm looking for). There isn't very much, none of it great, but there is some stuff. Including one which says to send CV to Jo Bloggs; in place of Jo Bloggs, insert the name of someone I used to work with a very long time ago! It's not a common name, so I'm pretty sure this is the same person. I got on fairly well with her, it's a not very exciting but easy job, 12 hours a week, three days a week. Seems it might be perfect in terms of giving me time to work on self employed stuff. Can't help but think it might be a sign from the Universe! Only snag is it's going to be a pain in the bum to get to without a car (so am now looking to see if there are moped loan schemes I could approach).0 -

Morning all - I am so tired - it feels like it should be Friday, but I think that is because the football was on a Monday this week, and our midweek matches are normally on a Tuesday.... It has also just generally been a long week, and this cold that I am not having, is leaving me a bit tired too.
Ah well, could be worse! Off to the cinema straight after work with DD on a seefilmfirst thing, then straight home and straight to bed methinks!

Its not a film as such we are seeing, but a screening of the James Cracknell trilogy that I think will be shown on sky in the next couple of weeks - as we don't have sky but are quite interested in all things endurance-like, it gives us a chance to watch it for no cost.
LAM, I should be trying to do 18 miles on Sunday, but if this cold persists, I will have a rest day and do my long run next Sunday instead. I should be able to do 10 miles this weekend, even with the cold, if I take it steady, and have been resting all week, runwise, which I think is sensible. I was so tired last night that I put a casserole in the oven which took an hour and a half, then went to bed, setting my alarm for 15 mins before cooking time ended to get upSadly I couldn't get an early night in because I had to collect DD from somewhere at 11.30, but I soooo needed that sleep early on!

The screening was good - we even got free popcorn :T And James Cracknell then did a live link up to the 4 cinemas that had taken part for a Q&A. Was well worth going.
home now, and shattered, so having a coffee (decaff of course) and will have a fairly early night methinks.
