A friend of mine just posted on FB that she's having a glass of bubbly before tackling the ironing - now that sounds like my kind of housework, actually just my kind of night, bubbly and the ironing can wait for another day, week, year, millenium.....!! :)

All ironing is up to date :D

Although there is another load on the airer, and another in the washing machine, so I guess I will have more to do before long....still, for now it is up to date.

Oh dear, MiT, that is SERIOUS stuff :rotfl:

Another week begins.....for me a long day because there is football tonight which I am looking forward to. I am also expecting a busy busy day at work. My legs are not too stiff after my long run yesterday so that is good news....and hopefully a sign that I am getting fitter again.

So, have a good week, whatever you are up to and Happy Monday x

Got a whole chicken, green beans, tatties (that's potatoes to you folk in The South) and parsnips for £5, so very pleased :D

Now, what the hellfire does one do with parsnips? I don't think I've ever knowingly eaten them :o

I was given a receipe for the parsnips I get in my fortnightly box which is to cut the parsnips into chip like batons, parboil the parsnips and then roll in flour/egg and then a mixture of breadcrumbs and parmasan cheese. You then roast them like potatoes. They were delish and I have always thought I hated parsnips but maybe that was because we only ever had them at Christmas and they were put in the oven raw with the turkey and I remember them as blackened bits of charcoal, however we had to have them and the "boiled within an inch of their life" sprouts "because it was Christmas and that is what you have"

Just spotted this on the BBC:
Norwich moved up to second in the Championship after two late goals secured a 3-1 win over Bristol City.
