The Ritz was lovely - a real treat, and although it was expensive, it was something that really was nice to do for a special occasion.
We had a choice of teas, coffee, hot chocolate (great for DD) and a selection of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, pastries, and a birthday cake.

We've decided not to go there - partly because of cost and partly because we don't want to be rushing to get our train.
Instead we've decided to do afternoon tea at a posh hotel in Edinburgh sometime in December. I can taste the scones already...!0 -
