Hypno,
I just wanted to congratulate you on the effort and dedication you've given to your DF journey. Our debt was far smaller than yours but being DF is just such an amazing feeling - takes time to sink in!
Best wishes for Christmas in your new home. :xmastree:

:T :T to sending Martin the sprouts :rotfl: :rotfl:
We're going ten minutes at a time too - didn't get in til 6am :rotfl: But had drunk nothing but tea, so having slept until 2pm (and only having a holiday to prepare for, not an entire house to pack up ) I don't really feel like we can complain! :rotfl:
Good luck! :T0 -
Can't beleive I'm not hungover today tbh after all the red wine, white wine and prosecco I quaffed last night at my mates!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hope the hangover is subsiding and thankfully the kids are helping you pack.
It'll definitely feel great having disposable income0 -
Congrats on the exchange!
Having disposable income really does take a while to sink in. I'd always promised myself that I'd take DD's to Disneyland Paris when we were debt free and it was amazing to book the tickets and know that we could properly afford to go.
I must admit it was lovely to know that I could afford lots of tea and hot chocolate to warm us up.
Don't under estimate the overwhelming feelings that come with the DF'ness, after being such a focus in your life for so long it takes a long time to get your head round and has caused lots of emotional outbursts.
Wishing you all, all the luck in your new home x"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Well, after a very busy day, I can safely say we are getting there.
Another trip to the tip done, kitchen cupboards emptied and cleaned, and even the oven cleaned, the fridge taken away by my mum (have built in for the new house) and so on and so forth....
My headache has gone - my very special friends from Peterborough happened to be passing, and popped in so we went for a walk to show them the new house.....and the combination of the cold air and lovely company did wonders
I have stopped now, though, as I have to work tomorrow and I don't want to end up too frazzled/stressed so an evening which involves a soak in the bath, followed by sports personality of the year and the final of the Apprentice beckons.
Oh, and because I have cleaned the ovens, it is takeaways for the next couple of days......tonight will be curry because they deliver
