Thought I'd chip in with my bit
I love my matched betting, it works for me for several reasons; one, I can do it at home without needing to worry about a babaysitter for ds as I would with any other part-time work, also, I have always enjoyed a bit of gambling, and even though this strictly isn't gambling its not a million miles away, thirdly, I love football so have an interest in what I'm betting on, and mostly, as gambling profits are tax-free I don't need to worry about it affecting my tax credits
There are lots of offers on the boards there and there are lots of very helpful people there who will double-check things for you. I'm still very much a beginner, I tend to do the basic easy offers and have slowed down a lot, there are easier opportunities to make money at the beginning, but please please please make sure you have read read and re-read all of th guidea on there first, it can be financial suicide if you're not clear on what you are doing :cool:Good luck if you give it a go

Awww, that sounds nice! I knew of one little girl from a non-religious family who went to the Woodland Folk, they were much more alternative.

I have been sorting through a box or two of "teenage" stuff that I packed up from my bedroom when I originally left home.....needless to say I have had a bit of a trip down memory lane....such things as reading through my diary from 1985. Oh my, life was sooooo much simpler back then :rotfl:
Some things have been added to the "skip" pile - the usual stuff, revision notes and the like, crappy ornaments that I am sure I never liked in the first place, but some things will be repacked and kept to bring smiles to my face on rainy days in the future.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Every home should have a memory box with this sort of stuff in, it is so lovely to go back to the good times. Sometimes we need something to nudge us and remind us of happy memories, or teenage angst, or first loves, or places we have been or people we have forgotten.

Mine included my QG certificate, which was a coincidence given the conversation on here yesterday, letters from penpals of years gone by, and those notes that used to get passed between friends at school when bored in class - including such things as 101 things to do when bored in a Geography lesson.....
......and the notes about who wants to ask who out (or to dump)! Funny to read!
I have one more such "teenage" box to sort through this evening and will then sort out what to condense and what I really should let go of!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Sleepy good morning here. Definitely need the matchsticks
Pleased to hear the sorting is still going well Hypno.
We had a go at matched betting too, the main thing we found was you need reliable internet connections (you can't have it go down in the middle with only one half done), don't be rushed into placing the bets, it's better to miss the offer than rush and make a mistake and lose money, and you need to be 100% awake, mistakes can be easily made, and it's easier to make them and difficult to spot them if you're half asleep.
If you travel, more sites for bingo and betting are monitoring isp's and won't necessarily let you withdraw if you're not in the UK at the time.
Might try it again in the future. Oh, I'm definitely not into gambling at all, actually surprised that I ended up going near bingo and betting sites at all.
Sorry if it's stating the obvious, but the idea of the offers is to try to hook people in, so do stick to only the matched betting offers, and it's not good for anyone who thinks they could get into 'real' gambling.0 -
Just a 'heads up' re. the Hilton Christmas Sale mentioned in the mse newsletter. It's approx 50% off normal weekend rates for hotels upto end of 2011.
I was watching out for it after a couple I met in the Lounge a couple of weeks ago mentioned they'd used it for the weekend, they look for this every year and book a few weekends.
You can easily tie it up with discount ferries/eurotunnel/flights with the whole of 2011 to chose from. Or just use it for a weekend away in the UK. OK you can get Travelodges sometimes on sale cheaper, but this is the halfway house, normally a nicer hotel at a more reasonable price compared to their normal rates so brings it into affordable budget (do check tripadvisor and specific hotel details though).0
