Hypno's the one who's impressive by leaving to go to Venture Scouts. I'm the one who's impressive by leaving BrowniesI also refused to go to Sunday School (I had to wear a hat!!!) and left ballet (tho I loved that, and went back - didn't stay into pointless rebellion very long

You know, I always wanted to go to Sunday school because a couple of friends went and they always seemed to be making things and going on trips! Awww, that sounds nice! I knew of one little girl from a non-religious family who went to the Woodland Folk, they were much more alternative.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sorry for hijacking thread Hypno, but I have a question for Sea. How old is your DS now? Could he go to Beavers?0

Hypno I've got a question for you re matched betting. Me and DT were talking about it the other day and know you used to do lots of this and do really well but you don't seem to do it much now. Is that because 1. It's only good at the start (introductory offers) 2. The money to be made in general has gone down 3. You are now going to be so rich that you can't be bothered!!!! Thanks'The road to a friends house is never long'0

All the easy offers are done at the start, although there are still patches of good offers coming through on an ongoing basis, just not as great as those at the beginning.....
and basically I suffer from CBA periods of timeI do still do the odd one or two, but not as much as I should - benben is the ongoing Queen of MB......

I have been meaning to ask that question for ages Hypno wondered why you no longer did much matched betting and why benben still does and what was the tipping point that made you sort of stop and why benben still continues - as Souk said we discussed it at the weekend so you were not forgotten - just being nosey really and as I have still not put my toe into the matched betting lark whether it was like scratchies and only to be done when essential or whether it was something to really get my teeth into don't know who else on this thread has had a go but would appreciate people's opinion.

I made an easy couple of thousand pounds out of it in the first few weeks - I don't know if the initial offers are still that good, but it was certainly worth doing!
And over the years when I have dipped my toes in, I have made several hundred more.....
so, yes, still worth doing - just one of those things I have less "energy" for right now I guess!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
