Just noticed terms and conditions number 34 mentions coach trips. I'll wait for details of that then :)

I know france is warmer, but my children have cried from the cold at alton towers in feb half term before, so if it's not cheap I'd rather wait until warmer weather lol

erm its not warmer in the winter period - its colder, and noticeably so, in my experience.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I went on a day trip last Feb via Eurotunnel.

Got the 6.30am train to France, 8.40pm train back. We got to Disneyland at 10.30am (their time) and left at 5pm.

We had a good day, saw lots of shows in the street and the ice show too, went on lots of rides. We did freeze though!

Yes, the drive was VERY hard work. We left home at 4.30am, stayed in a hotel in ashford and didn't get to bed until 10.30pm. And I didn't get a decent coffee until 8pm either!!!! The kids (5 and 3) had a snooze in the car and on reflection, I was shocked that I did all that driving alone, on the wrong side of the road, with toll roads and no sat nav.

But it was all worth it to see the priceless look on my daughters face as her eyes first fell onto Sleeping Beauty's castle.

Would consider doing the drive again, but DSs passport ran out a couple of months ago and I don't intend to renew it until we know we're defintely going on holiday. A great deal though if you can get an early ferry.

ooops, sorry, it's always been october when I've gone and it's been a degree or so warmer than where I live in the midlands. Hmmm .... colder than alton towers in feb sounds horrific! Maybe march then :)

Having been to disney paris several times, mostly out of season, I know from bitter experience how hideously cold it can be there in Winter. In Feb the temperatures are usually just above freezing, about 5 degrees Celsius, add to that the wind chill. February is also one of the rainiest months.

We always have a ball whenever we go, even in winter, but have learnt to plan ahead and be extra extra prepared.

Wrap up warm, lots of warm layers, hats which cover your ears and gloves are essential especially as there will be a certain amount of standing about and queueing.

We dress the kids as if they were going skiing for the day - skisuits, insulated boots, several layers and thermals and several pairs of socks (toilet trips are a challenge lol) and take some of those hand warmer things which you can buy from Millets and other camping and golfing shops.
We took self inflating cushions in our rucksacks, for sitting on when watching the stunt show. This show is outside and sitting on cold stadium seating for an hour in zero temps is no joke and a cushion really helps to insulate. The cushions also come in handy if you are sitting about on the kerb waiting for the parade.

We also took our own flasks of hot drinks into the park (but perhaps they have tightened the rules now and wont allow it?) Stopping to top yourselves up with a hot choc is a great way to keep warm but they are quite expensive to buy inside the park and hot drinks for a family of 4 twice a day can cost a bomb.

you can take whatever drinks and snacks you like into the park!
we always take flasks and those little cups with hot choc / coffee / soup in ( 8 for £1 @ home bargains and poundland etc )

we usually go in oct,but we went for a wkend in dec one yr OMG the cold! and that was with layers / ski gear etc etc !

We have done wkends before, but don't think we would attempt a day trip! ( not driving anyway)
you would be exhausted and then its a lot of walking once you are there too! not very enjoyable on top of all the travelling IMO

Just to add the comments above, we went October last year and it was freezing!!! This first day we got there we made a joke about people walking round in ski gear, came away from the holiday saying if we went there again I would buy us all ski wear!
