  • Just wondered. Is there any way to catch a train/eurostar from calais to DLP?

i.e. Bring the car over on the ferry, leave it at calais, get train from there?

I know its a bit weird but since the ferry is paid for, I'm assuming it'd be cheaper to get train from calais to DLP, rather than ashford to DLP?

Also Ive seen on here that the new generation will end early March - what is planned to replace it, does anyone know?

My 6 yr old will love it whatever it is - she just desperate to see the princesses.

The New Generation shows etc will finish around 13th March, and the new season of shows etc won't start until around the 6th of April.

But you're right, your daughter will absolutely love DLP at that age!

You should be able to get a TGV from Calais to Paris Nord, which takes approx 1 hour (approx £26 per person). Then you get get the RER to Marne-La-Vallee, which takes about 40 mins.
  • Hi guys there is a lot of fantastic advice on this thread and I have just booked mine. Staying at the Hotel Sequoia on 11th Jan one night £106 all in. We are tight for cash and believe we got a good deal. Paid £60 deposit. That will give us plenty of time to put some money by for the rest. Normally we always prefer a self catering option but I want to make this as special as possible for my daughter so we will wander round to the Disney Village for dinner in the evening. Thats a good point about booking in advance which I will do. We requested a 0900 ferry outbound and a 2230 ferry inbound.

Im wondering how accurate the ferry request times will be. Could be a bit of a downer if you end up with a ferry 5 hours earlier/later than you planned.
  • Hmmm. I'm beginning to wonder if its all worth the cost for one day at disney.

Live in South Wales so its a fair trek to Dover. In fact, 800 mile round trip to DLP. Thats a good £100+ in fuel for the motor. Not sure how much the tolls are on the french roads either...

£132 for a night in the hotel. £20 for night in travelodge in kent the night before, £20 for night in travelodge in kent on way back.

Not much change out of £300 for one day in the park !!!! (and thats before food etc).
  • Has anyone who is staying over night (and has already booked) filled in the app form yet? I just tried ringing the number to ask a couple of questions but was in a que for 15mins (goodness knows how much that has just cost me?!) I just wanted to know if we need to fill in section 3? and also what do we do about paying the rest off? As on my email confirmation of booking it says to pay the rest withing 14 days of booking and I just assumed that on the form there would be somewhere to fil in card details but it says on form to go online if you are paying by card?

Good luck everyone and Thank you to all posters xx
  • Bit confused.

If you book a two-night hotel do you get two days park passes? Or just an extra night in the hotel after your park visit and then go home next day?
  • I've been thinking for a while about whether to do a DLP trip or not. Our boys are now 7 and 10. We recently took them to Disney on Ice which they enjoyed but they weren't ecstatic about it. Are they getting a bit old now that they don't believe the characters are real? Also, is DLP more for girls with the castle/princesses etc? I'd appreciate some advice as would hate to spend our annual holiday budget on a few days at DLP only to find it was only so-so! Also, what would be ideal time to spend - 2 or 3 full days in parks?

You only get park passes for the last day you are there (after your second night). You would need to purchase extra passes for the additional day.

If for example you book a 2 night/3 day deal for 20th January, you would travel out on the 20th, hotel for that night and 21st, then entry to the park on 22nd, returning home that night.
